Been playing the new FE: Warriors DLC and tried using Oboro, and man, she's such a blast to use. Her lance attacks feel so clean and strong.

I haven't been read to many of the DLC supports yet, but I did read the Azura & Chrom one (I liked it because it expands on Chrom's social awkwardness) and the Oboro & Takumi one. The latter I really enjoyed.

I'm glad Warriors still stays true to how Team Takumi act more like a trio of friends compared to the other royal-retainer teams in Fates. Oboro and Takumi's conversationsfelt pretty natural here (not to mention we see Takumi being a good friend by offering to aid with the weapon sorting), and it even has some humorous bits here and there. They even slightly expand on a few things about Hinata in this support: that he is usually tasked with weapon sorting in the group, and that he has a tendency to go from dojo to dojo to challenge fighters. Shows how committed he is with training.

Also, that ending. I'm willing to bet that's how Takumi's butler costume was born lol.

Is the League still a thing for Sun/Moon anime?
At the end of the second Kanto visit episode, Kukui said he plans on creating a Pokemon League for Alola, so there's a chance it will happen.

So, Adam Howden has been in every Xenoblade game so far.

I wonder if they'll continue this trend in future games. I also wonder if this extends to his Japanese counterpart, Shintaro Asanuma.

Are they going to add more costumes for BOTW Link? A Mario costume for Link would look pretty weird. I could imagine them doing it, eh we will see.

I spent a quarter of the day playing Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. I don't actually know when it came out for Wii U in Europe so I never played it for that reason.

I think it's my least favourite of the three campaigns so far but I still really enjoyed it. I like how it expanded upon the backstory of the game too.

I think the only new games I played this year were SoV, BotW and Mario Odyssey. And Fate/Extella and Specter of Torment if those count.

Also, I ordered EOV finally but it only arrives in January.
Don't worry, I'll make sure to make up for the lack of EO shilling Soon™.

I think SoT feels a bit short, the lack of Mr.Hat and a The Baz fight is also kinda disappointing.
But overall, I think it's my favorite due to how fun Specter is to control. Scythe-skating especially.

Plague Knight still has my favorite movement but Specter has the best tools to utilise. Like, Plague barely needs his relics and they're really gimmicky. while Specter cam just abuse them to hell and they all flow really well with his abilities.

The Version 5.0 update of ARMS launches tomorrow today.

Also, someone did some touch-up on the trailer video to have a MUCH clearer look at the new fighter's face (putting in spoiler box just in case)
She looks rather cool.

Please do not get aggressive with me, but is the Mario Odyssey hype slowing down right now? If so than that was a quick ride. I may be wrong though.

I call this build, "Bench time, Minerva"
Because if I ever pull a Minerva I have no reason to use her except Do Wao memes

Shame about Brawlout. It's a good thing none of the official Smash games have OP swordfighters :metaknight:

I didn't have an issue with the length (the flashback levels and the short tutorial levels for the relics made up for it IMO) but the main reason I didn't like it as much was because wall running could be finicky at times (IMO it should have required a button press to start), and so could the context-sensitive dash slash, the latter I found to be a weird decision in general. I would prefer it just be something you could use anywhere and the game be designed around that.

In the other two campaigns, I never once felt the level design was screwing me over and always felt like a death was my fault, but in SoT I had a number of occasions where he would dash slash the wrong thing because too many targets were nearby, or the automatic wall run was throwing off my wall jumping angle. It's also kinda awkward trying to air slash enemies without dash slashing, and sometimes it's better to do that. Also I had to fight my platformer instinct of hugging a wall while jumping over it and stuff like that.

It was still a blast but those frustrating moments that I never felt in the other two campaigns just brought things down in comparison. It was fun but it didn't feel as refined as the other two.

I will credit it for having much more unique level design, though. Plague Knight only got an extra secret path and a few small tweaks in each level to compensate for his different moveset, making it feel like he was just an additional character for the same game. Specter Knight's stages are almost entirely redesigned and even have new aesthetics and music remixes, making it feel like his own game.

I wonder how Michael reacted when they told him he was voicing Niles
I bet he was excited that he would be voicing one of Fates' most popular characters, especially when he learned he was also going to voice Takumi as well.

Is someone new voicing Azura? She sounds kinda off in FEW
Nope, it's still Rena Strober.

I don't think I'm even getting anything video game related this Christmas.

I'm old enough that my parents got me nothing for my birthday.

Who is the best Fire Emblem character in Fire Emblem Mobile or whatever game you are talking about?

Also am I a Pinhead?

I said earlier I feel like Mario Odyssey burned me a lot quicker than BOTW. I personally like BOTW better because there was so much to do and it felt like an open - world game like Mario 64 and it made me enjoy everything. I really like how there is still one goal to do, but you can do anything else and explore in BOTW. I love those kind of games like BOTW. Also I never played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but it looks epic.

Chain attacks are absolutely broken in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I've beaten every superboss except the highest, and that's just because I can't complete the field skill requirement for it. Seriously, with the mode that you unlock towards the end of the game, it ends up doing like over half of their health bar. Reminds me of the Ares skell from XCX just melting monsters that would normally destroy you.

Guess I can finally put it back on the shelf... just for me to now deal with Fire Emblem Warriors and Zelda DLC. .__. Great...

Who is the best Fire Emblem character in Fire Emblem Mobile or whatever game you are talking about?
Brave Lyn. Followed by Reinhardt and Hector.
Ultimately, any character can be made good and can take out anyone with dedicated investment. Yes, even Odin and Henry who are often looked down upon for their low attack. It's just that those 3 are the easiest to invest in and they'll be strong regardless.
With Brave Lyn, you don't even need to invest in order for her to be good. She'll be great regardless. Reinhardt and Hector are great by themselves, but want some easy investments that make them stronger easily, like Death Blow and Lancebreaker for Reinhardt and Vantage for Hector.
That being said, FEHeroes revolves around countering just as much as player phasing. That's why there are characters who are invested to specifically counter these 3 characters. You have Green Tome users like F!Robin, Cecilia, PA!Inigo, Boey, etc using Gronraven & Bowbreaker for Brave Lyn and Reinhardt. Then you have tanky Red Sword users, like Xander or Ike for Hector.

Nah, I always get the games by myself :p
Also, I would never ask or imply that I want a game featuring a Scuba Manlet and Redhead G Cup Chick lol.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a game filled with deep and meaningful dialogues:
On one hand, I can tell I'm going to like Morag.

On the other hand, I feel bad for spoiling that she's playable if she has heart-to-hearts.
I mean I already knew but I tried to forget that I saw that.

This is finally out.

I really do not like how SEGA is trying to make Sonic go "mobile" and I feel they should focus more on the four iconic gaming platforms ( PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch ). It just feels a bit weird. Then again we got Pokemon Go and Mario Run, but I feel like those two apps are honestly dead.

FWIW it's a really minor spoiler in the grand scheme of things.

Nowhere near the craziness that was Seven.
