I feel like no one here really cares about Attack on Titan these days except for me, but hey, just wanted to drop some news here for those that might be interested:

The official AoT anime website has revealed that AoT Season 3, still implied to be 2-cour based on the first trailer after the season 2 finale, will begin airing in July 2018.

...Though if the poster is anything to go by, I kinda wish the anime would slightly change that entire part where Eren was chained up in the crystal cave by actually giving him a shirt.

I always wondered why was Eren shirtless in that scene. Did Rod Reiss only have his own ceremonial garb left after Grisha massacred his family, and Rod then gave his ceremonial garb to Historia when he tried to force her to turn into a Titan and eat Eren?

I mean, I don't think Eren looks bad without shirt (dude's got a 6-pac after all), but it's just one of those moments where it felt odd to leave him shirtless. Like, this isn't the kind of situation for that.

Moving on, I liked that shot of Kenny Ackerman in that poster. There is a clear distance between the two where Levi is the one far out, but the way how Kenny is presented here makes him look like a "Titan" of sorts (fitting because he is a really tall guy).

Seeing Kenny is one of the main things I'm looking forward to season 3 as well. He's one of my favorite AoT characters, and a great villain too.

They also confirmed that the next AoT compilation film, which will be a two-hour recap of season 2, will be coming out this January.

Man, all this AoT talk reminds me that I've been falling behind on my AoT reviews of the recent chapters, though at the rate this is going, I probably won't be able to properly talk about them until December.

I haven't kept up with Attack on Titan for a long time. Back when I was watching the first season, it caused me to check out the manga. From what I've seen and read, I love the series. I think the story arcs are very interesting and overall well-written. However, with how slowly season 2 released, I've fallen out of interest with the series and the sites in which I read the manga I simply don't check out anymore due to time constraints. I may get back to the show and manga one day, but for now I'm focusing on other franchises in fiction, like classic Simpsons and possibly the Sopranos.

Like, outside of Pyrrha, everyone else got sent out in a way that makes it seem like they should come back.
Penny is a robot so there isn't much reason for us to expect a final death of her.
Roman's death was incredibly anticlimatic, and it just feels weird to kill off such a popular villain right when the show's plot is really kicking off.
Neo was blown away and I'm sure she's alive but one whole volume without her is already worrying.

Meanwhile, Mercury and Enerald haven't shown up since the start of Vol.4 and Cinder got hit with Villain Decay really hard.
Like, it worries me that all of the past villains are being treated with such disrespect.
Adam is still around thankfully but I don't think any of the new ones are particularly interesting, Tyrian is a generic Ax-Crazy villain and Watts is the scheming one.

Hazel got my interest with Ep2 and Salem still has to show me that she's more than "I wanna divide humanity because **** them"

I just hope this Volume's pacing speeds up compared to Vol.4, it seems to be doing that since we're already going to deal with Raven and Adam has somehow become an even bigger ****.

Also, the chameleon chick that is supposed to be related to Blake in some way but she's by far tge least interesting thing in the entirety of the show and I need my Blake vs. Adam already damnit I wanna see her kick him right in the ****ing balls

Yeah, it just feels like a generic anime OP with the action shots and plot summary
"Here are the characters, here are them doing stuff that they'll do this season, here are them fighting the villains they'll fight except when they don't"

speaking of Adam he is so far the most salty antagonist for this Volume for now. It also bothers me why they introduce Sienna but then later kill her off quickly and by Adam for no compassionate reason whereas Sienna does (Which also made confused on how White Fang's leadership works a bit...), and just like how Hazel said back then nobody should die but Adam's reply was so bad even though I have to admit it was pretty edgy.

And maybe I watched so many anime but I do prefer OP that has the plot summary.

Characters who are alive we haven't seen since Volume 3:
Glynda, Tea Cardinal, Team CFVY, Team SSSN minus Sun, Neo (writers said she's gonna return and do something bad, my current theory is kill the soring maiden).

also would like to see yang vs merc because op stuff and it means good material for my otp.
Though tbh I kinda hate how the recent ops have kinda been showing a partial summary of the whole volume......
But The Triump is definitely my favorite op so far.

I think among them Glynda, Neo, and team CFVY has to come back. Glynda we all know she was sort of close with Ozpin and I am pretty sure a lot of people are curious on if she knows Ozpin's true from or not.
Neo obvious he most beloving villain and we are also curious on how will she do and react on Roman's death, I won't be surprise if she later becomes a temporary protagonist and even break her unique silence (Which I hope not...)
CFVY (Especially Velvet) was a team that was closest with team RWBY beside team JPNR, with team RWBY has yet united and JPNR has one dead, I don't think CFVY is going to play a bystander. I don't expect team CFVY having a major role like team RWBY and team JPNR but I think they have to give us some update on this team sooner or later.

So I didn't really want to share this in the past because I didn't want people to jump to conclusions or get up any expectations. But since I haven't worked on it in a while, and likely won't for another while, if at all, I may as well share it.

This is something that might be slightly interesting to Fire Emblem fans.

A little while ago I was messing around with some new techniques I was trying to learn in Blender since it had been a while since I had used it.

I came up with the idea to use Adobe Illustrator to try drawing the outline of a more complex landscape, and then import those paths into Blender in such a way so that the basic shape of the land (the outer shape, the locations of rivers, etc) would already be mapped out without having to do much modelling work. And from there, I could just look into Blender's other tools for landscaping which I hadn't really worked with.

So to test this process out, I actually made a start at recreating the Chapter 10 map of Fire Emblem 7 (I haven't played it, but I wanted a 2D reference since I thought it would be more interesting to work with). I actually got decently far with it.

Unfortunately, Blender kept crashing during certain tasks, like texture painting, because it was getting too intensive for my laptop. I can't really do any more serious modelling work until I build a PC (which is possible, now that I have a job - will look to have it built in the Spring, ideally). So I may as well just share what I had done.

It's very much a WIP but I thought some people might have found it interesting to look at.

Now I do things like using Magnesis to drop large metal objects at them, freezing them and then using the Korok Leaf to blow them away off a cliff, headshotting Bomb Arrows at sleeping mooks with 5x shot bows, brutalizing Guardians by cutting off their legs except one or two just to watch them hilariously squirm around trying to walk and, probably my favorite, baiting mooks to grab my metallic weapons during storms.

-By what I've been hearing, Henry's the main attraction. From his original form, he loses some Defense and HP for Speed as fast as Amelia and Black Knight and much higher Attack and Resistance.
-Jakob is slow, but his Attack is tied with Bride Cordelia, so he's one of the highest ATK for Bow units.
-Not only that, but despite Jakob and Henry being Ranged, they have a BST of around 164-166, which is around only 3 points lower than all non-Amelia armored units. And they both got boosted greatly in BST from their original form, from 147-148 to 164-165.
-Neko Sakura is +9 ATK higher compared to Felicia, in exchange for -1 HP, -4 DEF, -1 RES and -3 SPD.

Many third parties are gravitating towards the Nintendo Switch, and it seems that Koei Tecmo has been supporting the Nintendo Switch since the start. With games like Fire Emblem Warriors and the upcoming Attack on Titan 2, Koei Tecmo is pretty much “all in” when it comes to Nintendo’s latest platform and for good reason: they are seeing success.

During their latest financial briefing, Koei Tecmo said they were “extremely happy” with their game sales thus far on the Nintendo Switch. They also feel that Switch business has an “extremely long tail”, more than likely meaning that software sales continue beyond just the initial launch of the game.

It will be interesting to see more positive stories coming from developers when it’s related to the Nintendo Switch, as there seems to be a lot of positive sales figures coming from titles.

It's really strange to me how IS keeps giving random units boosted stats like that. I can understand Sigurd to an extent, but Ayra and the Armors are a bit much considering they didn't really need it and (especially in Ayra's case) lead to powercreeping on previous units. With that said, I'm happy with Henry's general stat spread since it's exactly what I was hoping for out of him, maybe I'll pick him up later if the next banner doesn't catch my interest.
