Well guys; here's an interesting detail I discovered while browsing around just now regarding an addition in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions (minor spoilers since this was not in the original game):

Mechawfuls appear in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions as the ones responsible for attacking Beanbean Castle Town when Mario and Luigi first arrive there. In the original, the destruction had stopped by the time the bros had arrived there.

Honestly, I have to wonder if their appearance in this game was an early prototype of them before they got upgraded in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. In addition, I also have to wonder if you can fight them in this game in order to repel them away from the town. Admittedly, that'd be interesting if you could, but I imagine they simply fly away after causing their destruction.

Nonetheless, I love this addition.

Ike not being in the base game is about as disappointing as this game could possibly get. The only way it could be more disappointing is if it were entirely Fates characters.

Yeah I'm REALLY not throwing in the towel for more characters until the fat lady sings. This feels too much like Gematsu where everyone gave up because "the leaks told us everything." If Navarre is there, it's not the whole roster.

He's one of the few characters in Shadow Dragon with artwork, a known qualification for being added from that game.

He also seems like an easy clone. I don't know about getting my hopes up since I don't really care much about him and I'm happy I got Caeda, buuuut this feels familiar.

I know I probably seem unwarrantedly optimistic about getting more characters, but I just have a point I want to make.

There is a difference between not expecting anyone more and already jumping to complaining about not getting anyone more based on information that has no guarantee to have any actual bearing on the character cap.

I'm not actually expecting anyone aside from maybe Navarre who I don't care about enough to be cut up about if I don't get him. I just sat through Gematsu and feel like jumping to conclusions before early copies start slipping out is going to cause more stress than necessary.

My birthday was great. I didn't want to make me being 20 too much of a big deal since I'm not quite ready to set out into the world yet. It wasn't. Though being 20 is still something worth celebrating, which we did do. I'm a young adult, and I'm getting there.

As of today, thanks to my family (who really went out of their way for my birthday this time, I really appreciate everything they did to make it what it was this time) I now finally have a Switch! I've got Breath of the Wild and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as well for starters. This is gonna be fun once I've got it all set up.

In other news, it was my choice to watch Moana tonight, and we all really enjoyed it! It was worth the wait.

Thank you very much.

Rathalos armor already gets a A+, as well as doing a nice job at representing the weapons and some of the mechanics like the Barrel Bombs. That being said, it's going to be hard to get used to a Monster Hunter that talks, considering in their game, they just grunt and whatnot. And admittingly, that voice gets grating when so much is being said when attacking. Also, it's very awkward to hear the Monster Hunter Theme in a techno style considering Monster Hunter's music is very orchestral and considering that Mohran's Theme is it's theme from Monster Hunter 3 in it's orchestral glory.

But regardless, nice to see Monster Hunter get spotlight in a Vs Capcom game. Can't wait to see what her colors and costumes will be(although considering this is a Female Monster Hunter, I am almost certain that she will get Kirin armor as a costume). Now I just need my Breath of Fire character representation.

So over all, her basic attacks are very similar to Marth's, likely due to both of them having rapier-like fighting styles. However, she uses her magic in her special attacks.


Probably went for swords over tomes for her main weapon since she doesn't canonically wield tomes.


ALSO CAN WE APPRECIATE THAT SHE GROWS GIANT-ASS ANGEL WINGS WHEN USING SERAPHIM? Awesome.
