You shouldn't rhyme words that end in literally the same way though.

It's like rhyming Monday and Sunday. Or rhyming cat with wildcat. It's awkward.
But it's not the same word though
This whole thing started with Elf on the Shelf and they have the same ending
And Monday and Sunday do rhyme, they're different words. Cat and wildcat is literally just one word with a prefix added

Elf and Shelf work because Shelf and Elf are both just one syllable words

It wouldn't work if shelf was pronounced Shuh-Elf

The key to rhyming is not spelling but syllables sounding similar (alliteration, lol)

Rhyming is ending syllabes sounding similar, that's it, the number of syllabes doesn't matter.
Like, I don't get where you are all taking these additional "rhyming rules" from but it's a load of bull****

Okay. I don't even care if this doesn't rhyme, cause A: I'm now crazy. And B: Cause I don't think this Elf on the Shelf meme has brought up some real rhyming!

You've heard of Elf on the Shelf! Now get ready for...

RAIN SNOW SLEET OR GALE!
STILL NO MATCH FOR THIS CRAFTY FEMALE!
FROM THE NORTH, FROM THE SOUTH OR FROM IN BETWEEN!
KNOW THAT GRUNTILDA WILL ALWAYS BE THE RHYMING QUEEN!

Keep on reading, Eventually it'll tell the difference between perfect and imperfect rhymes. Half rhymes, alliteration, assonance, etc.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_and_imperfect_rhymes

Perfect rhyme — also called full rhyme, exact rhyme,[1] or true rhyme — is a form of rhyme between two words or phrases, satisfying the following conditions:[2][3]

  • The stressed vowel sound in both words must be identical, as well as any subsequent sounds. For example, "sky" and "high"; "skylight" and "highlight".
  • The articulation that precedes the vowel in the words must differ. For example, "bean" and "green" is a perfect rhyme, while "leave" and "believe" is not.
-----

Imperfect rhyme[edit]
"Sprung rhyme" redirects here. It is not to be confused with Sprung rhythm.
Half rhyme or imperfect rhyme, sometimes called near-rhyme or lazy rhyme or slant rhyme, is a type of rhyme formed by words with similar but not identical sounds. In most instances, either the vowel segments are different while the consonants are identical, or vice versa. This type of rhyme is also called approximate rhyme, inexact rhyme, imperfect rhyme (in contrast to perfect rhyme), off rhyme, analyzed rhyme, suspended rhyme, or sprung rhyme.[4][5][6][7]

Use in hip hop/rap[edit]
See also: Rapping § Rhyme
Half rhyme is often used, along with assonance, in rap music. This can be used to avoid rhyming clichés (e.g. rhyming "knowledge" with "college") or obvious rhymes, and gives the writer greater freedom and flexibility in forming lines of verse. Additionally, some words have no perfect rhyme in English, necessitating the use of slant rhyme.[8] The use of half rhyme may also enable the construction of longer multisyllabic rhymes than otherwise possible.

In the following lines from the song "N.Y. State of Mind" by rapper Nas, the author uses half rhyme in a complex cross rhymepattern:

And be prosperous, though we live dangerous
Cops could just arrest me, blamin’ us, we’re held like hostages

Unconventional exceptions[edit]
Children's nursery rhyme This Little Piggy displays an unconventional case of slant rhyme. The author rhymes "home" with "none".

This little piggy stayed home...this little piggy had none (re: roast beef).

In The Hives's Dead Quote Olympics, singer Howlin' Pelle Almqvist rhymes "idea" with "library":[9][10]

This time you really got something, it’s such a clever idea
But it doesn’t mean it’s good because you found it at the libra-ri-a

Oh we're sharing the Elf on a Shelf thing?

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Also Kingsman 2 is actually pretty good fun.

Ugh, to get a :178: with drill peck I'd have to breed it.

I don't remember how earlier you can breed in GS but Fearow learns Drill Peck at 40 so I'd have to wait that long

So unless I read the timetable wrong, there should be a Fire Emblem Warriors reveal in about 5.5 hours.

The constant mod title changing on the NeoGAF SNES pronunciation thread is hilarious. It's been through at least five titles at this point and it's pretty blatantly because the mods are debating it themselves.

Lythero's Shantae on a Dante is the only one of those memes that really made me laugh that much.

I wonder if Nintendo will add any arcades games made before 1981 (aka before Donkey Kong) to the Nintendo Arcade Archives.

I have have a reasonable amount of doubts but would still be cool to see.

There are already so many characters in FE Warriors right now. I'm not going to speculate who else will be in that we don't know will be.

But oy, if either Kaden or Oboro end up playable, I'd go completely crazy.

I was reading posts about Dragon Ball Super and Vegeta fas are kind of crazy

People predicting that Vegeta is stronger than 10x Kaioken SSB Goku

Kaioken multiplies the users power. 10x Kaioken is multiplying Goku's power x10.

That would make Vegeta 10x stronger than Goku
