In the Gamecube games, you had to hold R iirc to freely aim, in the Trilogy version, it's motion controls, and the games are designed with the more tanky controls in mind

Also, Egoraptor is just like a scrublord who got permabanned from the site I met, whines endlessly that the game's control doesn't cater to his overly aggressive style. That guy "WAHWAH MEWTWO DOESN'T WORK HYPER AGGRESSIVELY, THIS GAME IS WORSE THAN ET" Arin "WAHWAH I CAN'T MINDLESSLY SLASH AWAY IN OOT LIKE IN LTTP THEREFORE IT'S BAD GAME DESIGN"
Also, Arin ragequitted in Skyward Sword because he couldn't Bomb Bowl. Something the game outright tells you if you don't mash the A button without reading anything iirc

I wouldn't say any Metroid game is an "insult to gaming" either, if someone says something like that about nearly any game it says more about the person speaking than about the game. I'm sure Metroid has a reason it has an absurdly dedicated fandom, just. . .at a certain point it's going to come off as a disappointment if it gets talked up too much, LOL.

Believe it or not the US's population growth rate is just barely sustainable, with families on average having just enough kids to sustain it, but it is going down.

Compared to Japan, which is way below.

What games did you play? Other than the original, 2, Hunters and Other M, they're all great

I got the original by using the last of my Club Nintendo points before the service ran out.

And I started to try the practice section of the demo for Federation Force for a little bit before deciding it wasn't for me, but I know that was bashed to heck and back and I was just giving it a chance to be contrary because everyone was blowing Federation Force out of proportion. I know that's not traditional Metroid, though.

The thing is though, it takes 2 parents to have a baby. Which means each couple has to have at least 2 children on average to sustain the population, but a lot of couples these days have 1 child.

The world itself is still growing in population, just not in first world countries. Other than immigration

Yeah, they're in the right then, the original is just pretty bad, Zero Mission, it's remake, is better in every way, no needing to backtrack if you want to switch Wave/Ice beams, no getting damaged when going in doors, diagonal shooting, an actual map, etc. With FF, the issue is that it doesn't do what Metroid is known about, but is still good in it's own right. It would be bashed less if it came out after a brand new game

The thing is though, it's not about culture's that specifically care about large families, it's economics. It's about cost/ reward. Children cost a lot, but they have the potential to rise above their parents. But, rich families don't necessarily need that and have children more for an heir to inherit their resources.

The lesser amount of money and resources a family has access to, the more likely they are of having lots of children. The cost/ reward of having lots of childrens is the hope that at least one with survive and be successful and therefore be able to sustain himself as well as his parents.

But it doesn't necessarily work like that in the US and a much more likely outcome is a perpetuation of the lower class and the increase in divide between the rich and the poor.

There is also this point in which having too much children becomes a hinderance of the family, especially if a family earns too much money to be able to get government help but not enough money to sustain their family.

Case in point, acquire the two Lissas from today's special map. The 1* has access to Assault and Heal, the 2* has access to those, Reconcile, and Imbue.

I expect the trend continues the higher up in star rank you go.
