Also I really need to add a new member to my team...Mitsu getting a bit ahead on the levels...If this were White version I'd grab a Petilil...Maybe a Sewaddle? Haven't used Leavanny before...not a fan of the two 4x weaknesses though...I still need to figure out a Flying type for my team as well...

Actually, I disagree. I won't deny that going in blind is by far the optimal way to play. That being said, I went into the game almost completely spoiled for everything and still found it immensely enjoyable, and I'd probably rank it among my all-time favorite games.

So while I'd definitely recommend going in blind, I think the game is solid enough on its own merits that it can still be enjoyed regardless.

Glad to hear that. Some of my favorite parts were the surprises, but I'm glad the gameplay alone can stand.

There is a controversy because the portrayal of the Spirit guy

In the myth, he's supposed to be thin but they portrayed him large and fat, like "A generic islander guy"

Personally I'm indifferent to Corrin. If we had to get another FE rep, I'd rather take him than another Marth Clone. I also feel that no matter who would be the next DLC character(s) they would've gotten the same reaction.

This is double for Bayonetta. It could've been anyone else and they would have still gotten the same amount of hate. It was a high standard everyone put on a pedestal which penetrated the skies. The downfall was inevitable.

Late to replying cuz College and shiz but I heavily disagree with this notion. This is almost the same logic the "can't please everyone" crowd was using as a way to defend their characters. There's tons of characters I don't necessarily support (i.e. Ryu & Cloud before the Ballot) but would be happy to see make the cut for DLC. Not that there isn't people who will never pleased with what happens because they do exist but making a blanket statement like that is just a very passive aggressive way for the pro-Corrin crowd to quell any sort of argument against their character.

Feel the same way about Bayonetta but at least in her case she won a fan poll to get in the game so I can't dispute that too much granted the Ballot results were legit.

What I would much rather had was for the reveals to be switched up. It should have been Corrin revealed in the November Direct, Bayonetta revealed at the start of the December Direct, and Cloud being revealed at the end of the December Direct. At least DLC would have ended on a positive note that way.

I was browsing on the pokeani Tumblr feed and I found this interesting post that theorizes what the entire purpose of Ash going to school in the upcoming Sun and Moon anime could be based on what happens in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia.

Basically, Shadows of Almia starts out with the player character attending a Pokemon Ranger school, where they learn what it takes to become a Pokemon Ranger. This comprises the first arc of the game. Once the player graduates, they travel throughout the Almia region from there, undertaking various tasks as a new Pokemon Ranger such as helping Pokemon or taking down the evil team.

Perhaps the school that Ash attends will be a similar idea. He will learn about more battle tactics, the new Pokemon, and perhaps the other things one can do in the region. Once he graduates school, he'll be traveling the Alola region, where he will take on the Island Challenges from there. Another post on the same feed even theorized that the four-revealed Trial Captains are attending school because they are studying to become said roles. Maybe this school isn't just only for those that want to become trainers in Alola, but also those that want to become Trial Captains. If it's mostly the latter, maybe Ash attends school so that he can learn about Trial Captains, thus allowing him to prepare himself for what's to come.
