Top 10 that I think should return least to most:

He's super fun but more importantly he's the most unique of the FE characters. Which we need.

9.
He's probably my most hyped original newcomer maybe second Shulk. Pretty much a calling card to the Western fans.

8.
Obviously. He was one of the most popular pre-release Mario characters. Needs to return.

7.
One of the most popular choices for the 3rd third-party in brawl. He's far too important to the fans now.
6.
Love him. Such a good character a little memey in Smash but, hey, whatever makes him more popular. Xenoblade has come a long way.

5.
Another obvious point. He's a huge icon and is definitely coming back.

4.
Totally personal. I love him. One of the only Pokémon in Smash that I genuinely care about.
3.
She's basically a Nintendo character now guys. Seriously. I wouldn't even be a bit surprised if Bayonetta 3 is NX exclusive.
2.
A gaming icon. The embodiment of the fighting game genre.
1.
The biggest reaction to a character in Smash ever. As big or bigger than Snake's reveal. There will be a huge outcry if he doesn't make it back.

Like I mentioned before, I fought Wattson and he kicked my ass, but then my Linoone saved me at the most crirical moment. Thank god this isn't a nuzlocke, because otherwise, my team right now would've been a Nincada, a Sableye and a Linoone.
I made it to the Fiery path, where I will catch my next team member.
Oh yeah, and Flash evolved.

Yeah, I do think Snake and Sonic were both bigger but for Cloud being a DLC character for a game whose relevancy was at its peak a whole year ago, I think Cloud's reaction was damn impressive. He was a huge deal for the restraints that were obviously there. Being late DLC and all.

Best Top 10 Newcomers we want back?
Okay then - Bring out the list:

I love Top 10's.

1) - By far my favorite newcomer. I may not be able to play as him all that well, but that doesn't mean he isn't incredibly fun to play as. He's even more fun to watch be played at a professional level. Not to mention that I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan.
2) - When Little Mac was revealed, my reaction was "Oh, cool". When I got to play as him, I really fell in love with his play-style. He's such a huge threat on the ground until he's off-stage. There's only one thing I would really tweak about him, but even without that tweak, I'd still like to see him return.
3) - I never realized how much I loved the idea of Bowser Jr. joining the fray until I unlocked him. He's so unique and fun to play as. Plus, I'm a huge fan of Super Mario Sunshine, the game where he was first introduces, so I've already been familiar with and really liked the character before hand.
4) - I first hated the idea of Duck Hunt joining in, as I thought he was simply a joke and a waste of a character slot. Once I really saw him, and his stage in-game though, I came to realize that his inclusion is really another love-letter to the old, retro days of Nintendo's history. Would love to see this duo return.
5) (&) - I love the ideas of the Miis, but not too big a fan of how they were implemented. I would tweak them so that there would only be one Mii 'class', but you would be able to choose each individual move. Want to shoot a gun for your Side-Smash, but use a sword for your neutral attacks? You got it. Even without my personal tweaks in mind, I'd love to see all the Miis return.
6) - Unlike a lot of people at first, I actually really likes the idea of Wii Fit Trainer when she was first shown off. I saw her moveset, and really began to think about how big the Wii Fit has been. Adding her in was a no-brainer, really. She was actually much lower on this list until I really began to think about her, haha.
7) - I remember this trailer, and how everyone thought it was gonna be Mewtwo. For me though, I immediately knew who it was when I saw that Water Shuriken. Like a lot of newcomers, I wasn't too big a fan or didn't really care much at first, but after playing him in game, I really began to like him. I love the idea of having one of each starter type playable, so I'm still holding out for a Grass type next time around. Preferably Sceptile, but I'd be fine with Rowlette's final evolution if it would actually fit in this type of game. From this point and onward marks the characters that would be nice to see return, but I'd not lose sleep over if they were cut.
8) - She may be annoying to face, but I still say she fits in pretty well. I thought Daisy would get in before Rosalina, but I'm not going to object to Rosalina. My reaction to her reveal trailer was more out of confusion than anything, but I did start to like her and the idea of her inclusion fairly quick.
9) - I saw Palutena joining in from a mile away, and I've never played Kid Icarus: Uprising. All I knew what its popularity, and how well it did, so Palutena was one of my most early predictions. It'd be weird to see her go, but I'm not going to protest if she ends up getting the boot.
10) - My trailer reaction: "Oh, its that guy from Xenoblade". Not really too big of a reaction, I know, but he's alright. I can't stand fighting against this guy, and I don't know too much about him or his games. The only reason why he's on the list is because the rest of the characters I either really don't care about either way, or genuinely hope gets the boot. Shulk at least has some redeeming qualities, but I have a couple of changes for him I'd love to see implemented, and that alone puts Shulk a little above the "I don't care" mark.

That being said, I'd like to see an Inhumans movie, though if we're going for specific ones, sign me up for a Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel film.

I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up making her MCU debut at some point, given her popularity. I can see her appearing in a post-credit scene in Captain Marvel or something like that.

- I love his style. With the koopa kids and the clown car, it actually made me happy Bowser Jr came in. My least wanted character, but Lemmy saved it
- I love his style, again a character I was definitely not for. He's fun to use
- Not too keen on how he plays, but I like the character and seeing him in the trailer was hype
- I'd rather have Blastoise in, but at least A water starter is getting representation.
- He's fun to use. One of the 3rd parties I welcome the most even though he isn't exactly hype.
- Eh, he's cool. Fits right in
- I like her style but care little for the character and am not very good at her.
- Eh, he's cool. Love SF2
- Bring Geno fully with you next time.
- IDK what order I'd actually put him in, but he's got a nice style and fits in.

Edit: - Actually, the one FE character I enjoyed seeing. Wanted to main him, but I wasn't very good with him. He'd go above Pac Man. Knock out Cloud or Ryu

Well here's the teaser.

The animation certainly does look different. I thought the animation was going to look similar to Origins because some of the art styles for the eyes look similar to characters from the former, but it doesn't look like this will be the case. It'll take some time getting used to the new art style.

And it looks like Ash is also going to befriend the Fire-type Trial Captain as well. He was even in the poster as well; we just didn't notice (he is seen riding the Charizard, though the picture of the CoroCoro scan at the time cut him out). I'm also surprised that Team Skull will be introduced this early in the show.

One worrying detail I noticed when I watched the trailer is that Lillie sounds like she is voiced by the same person that voices Serena. I have a hard time imagining two characters appearing together for most episodes being voiced by the same person; not a usual thing you'd see in shows like this. Looks like all those that want Serena to return might have a bigger reason to worry if they decide to turn Lillie into some sort of Serena replacement.

I'm going to wait until the first batch of episodes for this new anime come out, then judge and see how it compares to the XY/XY&Z series.

On a side note, I'll be watching the newest episodes of XY&Z in a bit and then post my thoughts about them later. Today marks the conclusion of the Team Flare arc.

This is something that has always bugged me. You supposedly have to be 10 before you can get your first Pokemon, but there's still trainers that are clearly younger than that.
