All I want Dedede to be in that is just a lazy ******* who just sits on the couch and eats food all day.

I dunno, you could do a lot with a Smash sitcom. But mostly I can see it just bombing hard.

About the Smash anime, I can see two routes,

• Base it on the Subspace Emissary. The story was passable, but the cutscenes were really good. They could expand from there.
• Or they could make it an everyday life dort of thing - as is done by numerous fanfics and Awkward Zombie.

I'd enjoy either of them.

Oh gosh, a baseball episode.

I kind of picture the characters just setting up these really absurd teams, with characters that have borderline super strength being made pitchers and characters that are either equally strong, super accurate, super fast, or some combination of such being left at bat. If you want to get all cliche, you can always tie it up with a bow by having one of the more normal characters score the win. . .or for humor's sake, just have someone finally be put at bat or whatever that has an ability that still technically cheeses the game but does so in a less obvious fashion than power or speed would.

Alternatively you can just make an episode about them obsessing over the Home Run Contest.

...Ouch. That's really disappointing.

Especially since we have a beta of Torque, and that will never be finished now. Spade was also in the game's code, and partly functional.

I don't agree with him in saying Torque feels "unwieldy", and I know a lot of the FP community doesn't feel that way either. Torque is a dream to control even in the stages designed for other characters, many actually feel he is the most powerful character in the game and I 100% agree with that. Maybe this is what Strife meant by "unwieldy" but I don't think that's the case. I feel like he fits into these levels fine.

The idea of Torque and Spade getting their own game sounds cool IN THEORY, but if the reason for not finishing the DLC is the financial costs involved with re-hiring MP2, then how would they afford to make two new games, alongside Freedom Planet 2, and another port of Freedom Planet to another system? And how long will we have to wait for that? What's more, what if the mechanics of these new games are ultimately too different from how they played in Freedom Planet? Personally, I think Torque is perfectly fine the way he is, and don't want to see how he plays receive any drastic changes. If all he means by new game is "same mechanics they had in FP, but the levels are designed specifically for them", then I won't mind that much.

But yeah this whole DLC situation has turned into a mess, I was really looking forward to it.

I'm interested to see where these side games go, but I remain skeptical due to what has happened so far, and the reality of what GalaxyTrail seems to want to do.

I also feel like this will remain an obvious blemish on the original Steam version of Freedom Planet, as now it literally has unfinished content waiting for players who may pick it up in the future.

I don't like ecchi anime normally, but Heaven's Lost Property is a gem and I highly recommend it.

It's really one of my favourite anime. Shame it doesn't seem like it will ever be finished.

Stife hasn't decided whether or not he'll keep working on Freedom Planet's DLC, or if he'll give Torque and Spade their own game. Production on those characters has been delayed until he's finished porting the game to another console. I guess we'll find out how he decides to move forward after the port.

I honestly kinda want to see Shulk and Pit interact.

It's one of those combinations no one ever even thinks about, but what I played of Xenoblade Chronicles had enough moments of genuine hilarity mixed in with the more serious plotlines and enough hints at the fact that Shulk is just kind of a dorky nerd when he's not involved in serious plot stuff that I think he could really have his personality blossom in a more laid back environment. And what better character to leave him in a room with in that case than the admiral of hilarity himself?

Of course Pit + anyone with more than a shred of personality is great, though. Pit + Sonic would be insane amounts of awesome and funny assuming they didn't dumb Sonic down to a hyperactive jerk the way most media adaptions do, but third parties are a little harder to guarantee. And Pit + Mega Man has some background and it would be really cute to see them interact, but again, third party.
