By the time we'd have gotten a new Smash, Corrin wouldn't even come across the minds of the team due to Fates no longer being the newest. Instead we'd have gotten 'FE17 or so's main protagonist'

Oh yeah; I thought I remember Robin almost not making the cut due to his/her game being too late (from 2012), so you make a point. It's just for when I think about Corrin, anybody else would of easily replaced him/her at the time during DLC as we already had enough Fire Emblem (the Inklings fill half of the criteria and could of taken his spot regardless, for example). If Smash NX were to have come true and Corrin still wasn't in the game, they could of just put him in then to prevent him from being forgotten if they really wanted to.

Reading through those tweets, seems more like not enough people are buying it to the point where they need to sell in more copies of the game for retail.

Still means the game is not selling as well as it should. Wish they didn't release it early and finished adding in content still being worked on. Hell, selling the game at a lower price would have still been a better choice imo.

PreCISEly my ideal view on how it should go. No one should have to deal with losing their favorite character, but Fire Emblem needs to take a rest for a. . .while. A lot of the people in the Smash fandom who love Fire Emblem characters won't notice too much if another one doesn't show up but will get really freaked out if one skips town. There was a crudton of Roy fanart for Brawl, and he was pretty much the third most wanted character after Mewtwo and Mega Man at a certain point prior to Smash 4's trailers popping up, too. People will start begging for anyone back that gets dropped.

It probably won't happen that way, but leaving it level seems like the best solution.

Thankfully (or not depending on your position), the only Fire Emblem characters with a chance at being new additions to Smash would be any future protagonist from a game released during Smash's development (unless they're like Chrom ).

But bear in mind he was the most wanted of the Fire Emblem cast back in the "Smash 2" poll in Japan, was the first protagonist of the series, and was (then) the only recurring protagonist.

Marth is honestly the mascot of the series at this point in time; his beginnings and later appearances in Smash Bros. have always put him in the spotlight and have kept him alive and relevant to this day.

As for Anna, I'd say she's known throughout almost every game (with the exception of one game) and despite being only in cameo roles as a merchant (and thief if you really want to go there with her sneakyness), she is well known for that. Maybe not on par with Marth levels of known, but she's not at the bottom of the barrel. I think it'd be cool to incorporate a merchant/thief based moveset for her and watch other players question where their Falchions, Levin Swords, and Monado's went... before she attacks them silly for all the times people got destroyed by a tipper, a strong electrical attack, or a disjointed hitbox.

And now my 3DS has decided it doesn't know how to connect to Wi-Fi anymore so I won't be able to access the internet (Necessary for hax)

****ing hell.

If you can get the homebrew exploit to go through your internet browser( this is all luck and sometimes takes many tries). just install menu hacks afterwards. It's easy to do and then all you need to do to access homebrew is hold down L as you turn the DS on. Hope that helps, if not then I can try and help you fix it.

It's actually hard to say.

To a lot of people 1.1.5 was considered the final patch update before 1.1.6 came in and destroyed but that didn't do much overall so I came see one or two more patches depending if Namco-Bandai is still at it.

I do have to admit, Sheik tends to be a boring character to fight against since she practically has no flaws as a character. When it comes to Cloud though, he does have flaws that can be exploited unlike Sheik; his recovery is not good if his wall jump is lost and you don't use the Limit Break version of Climhazzard. Plus, he is not good against shields for some reason despite having a sword that should be able to shatter bubbles with no issues. Otherwise, I can agree that he is capable of overpowering most characters with his disjointed hitbox Buster Sword. Maybe he'll end up getting a nerf someday for compensation on these characters?

Yeah, probably, I believe Bayonetta was also the only character who was altered in the last patch, so it may have been them wrapping things up then. But who knows I guess, we could probably get another balance patch on the very last day of this month..... :/
