Was looking at #Nintendo on Twitter, saw this video.
I'm reminded of when I used to wonder whether they started work on Smash 5 as soon as Smash 4 wrapped up and were simply transitioning their staff. Wondering whether a Splatoon was already being made for the NX popped into my head very briefly after I heard about the final Splatfest, too, but I dismissed the thought of it at least being anywhere close to being ready rather quickly at the time due to a few fairly major things in the game not working without a Gamepad.
The main thing I'm wondering the whole time watching this is where he keeps getting the "made in a year" thing from. I'd assume it almost certainly wasn't, but it does make me wonder how the development cycle went for the game.

Character codename "Clumsy"
- This is hard but I think it's Ridley given that he's reoccurring in the Metroid series and is a villain in addition to being popular.
- Really nothing to base this on so i'll just guess that this character is Toon Zelda or Tetra because lel the Triforce is shiny.
- Based on the tweet they gave i'm willing to bet said character is a Pokemon from Sun & Moon.

. . .The legs look a bit thick below the butt one. I think maybe they're male. No guess beyond that, though, although I'm also guessing someone who isn't a twig. It could be slightly narrow-down-able from there.
Let's see. . .I skimmed the Odyssey since I last wondered about that one. Basically it's about a father who's been lost at sea for a super long time and has to return home, a son who's stuck with a bunch of jerks squatting at his mom's house trying to get her to marry them,
arranges for father and son to be reunited and go kick some butt, and much MLG was had that day.. . .Really not sure how that could be relevant to anything. Good news is it's narrowed down to villains from three games or more.

It has some issues here and there (I have yet to meet a person who says they could control the snowboarding minigame and the RTS minigame is just stupid. There were one or two other wierd/silly things I can't remember too), but the game is awesome.
A cool main character (avatar bias), an AWESOME supporting cast (Tifa, Yuffie, Cid alone is amazing but then you have stuff like the Turks), awesome gameplay, awesome customzation (materia!), a "good enough" story etc etc
AA game definitely worthy of the hype.

Finally caught my first 2 Pogeymanz in Pokémon GO: Pidgey & Staryu.
