I really don't think a minecraft movie is going to be good.

I've heard the Minecraft movie is going to have a "two worlds collide" story.

If so: Gee, like that hasn't been beaten to death for films based on licensed IPs...

Shame he doesn't know how to make a good hack. :p
I wouldn't call it bad
My only real problem is the writing as it is loaded with exposition and kost characters just join you with little motivation to do so
And ambush spawns, **** ambush spawns

ooooooooh, this is going to be FUN
I was trying so hard to go on a little longer with the Smash modding I'm trying to do.

Trying so hard to resist taking a break and go getting popcorn and finding something to watch.

Don't think I can do that anymore, though...

Activision almost had Rare?

Phew! Sure, Microsoft hasn't given them much love lately outside of the Battletoads & Killer Instinct IPs but Activision is just a fate worse than death.

I don't know, I found TLP incredibly dull when I played it. Played a few chapters, then never went back to it.

Oh, and the music was dreadful.

So, if anyone's interested, the 3DNES emulator was released today: https://geod.itch.io/3dnes

Basically, you just load up a ROM and the game will receive a 3D look that you can mess around with. Obviously it's not perfect, and some games won't look that great but it's still a neat experiment.

people still expect them to make a traditional, gimmickless console?
You assume I didn't expect this to come from them. Expecting it doesn't make it any less discouraging though.

OH BOY

BECAUSE THIS GAME TOTALLY NEEDED THE GAME GRUMPS "BLESSING"

Sony and Microsoft do that and their consoles do just fine.

My only worry here is that they're going to try and shoe-horn a really stupid gimmick in to all their games like motion control or something. I just want an option where I can play using a controller.

Also fear that they're going to try and repeat what they did with the Wii and pander to the casuals. It's something I see as a possibility.

Like Unleashed, I also feel Black Knight is kinda unfairly hated.

Sure, giving Sonic a sword is almost as silly as giving Shadow a gun, but it works in context. The game itself plays pretty well, didn't feel anywhere near as janky as Secret Rings.

Black Knight was better than the Adventure games to me. That soundtrack also scores a hell of a lotta brownie points

They've been focusing on the family market since forever. I don't see the point of having three consoles that do the same thing.

Expecting a gimmickless console from Nintendo like GameCube is only going to disappoint you, honestly. And whatever the gimmick is, as long as the software output is good it should do just fine.

Etika videos in a nutshell.

"Overreact, fawn over a waifu, get scared by simple things, and entertain other weebs like him."

So yeah, he's definitely going to attract a lot of his fans to the game. :troll:

I first played Black Knight about 6 months, and I found to be rather fun. It's definitely miles better than Secret Rings, which is one of the few Sonic games I've never beaten.

:( Aw, you just reminded me when I saw this once:

Now I regret not have gotten it when I could. Also, that's not a sword, that's a spearhead, silly box.

Goddamn, I was planning on skiping TMS#FE but everything I've heard from people who aren't butthurt about "censorship" seems to be positive

Even got some friends who are fans of mainline SMT who say it's pretty good.

I may end up caving and getting it at some point.

The first chapters are kinda boring(especially the FoW map with thousands of Nomads) but it gets better later on
I just played an escape map and I have a thing for escape map so that's a plus for me
Also, the music is the best part, wtf?

I know and i'm not asking for every game to be a rated-M game if that's what you were thinking. Sony and Microsoft appeal to casuals as well even without they're primary focus being core gamers. I just don't want another console that panders to the casual market because that would be an obvious indication that they want to repeat the Wii. The Wii was mostly successful due to the fact that it was released at the right time before the mobile boom and before the casuals went over to mobile. Hence the only reason why Nintendo is going mobile because there's no way they would go to that market if they didn't have a good reason to.

I know there's going to be some gimmick attached to the NX but I just want the option to play whatever games come out with a controller as opposed to some weird control scheme. Really.

To each their own. I didn't much care for the instruments used for the music in the hack.

Only hacks I've played that I've enjoyed are Elibean Nights (though my interest is waning as IMO it's started to suffer from feature creep), and Fire Emblem Forever(and unfinished 'remake' of the second generation of FE4).

Why not just give an option to play Zelda with either a controller or motion controls? That way people who want motion controls can play it that way and people like me that just want to play with a controller can do just that.

If the game is motion based the gameplay has to work around it for it to be a well made game. Skyward Sword had enemies you had to slice in a certain direction.

This is the reason Twilight Princess Wii is a bit annoying. Swinging the Wii Remote is really dumb if I could press a button and do the same thing.

So this is why they need to choose one or another.

It's also the reason Star Fox Zero can't have button controls.

The gameplay is designed around the extra perks of motion controls.

Just with some of the flaws.

Tiffany and Hinata from Rival Schools are in the top picture (as well as the three judges from SFIII).

Maybe they will be the guest characters we see in the future...
Dear Capcom,

Give us a new Rival School or make these two lovely ladies DLC in the future.

Love, your biggest and cutest fangirl.

You have to keep in mind that TLP was actually the first original FE hack iirc(at least one of the first if I'm mistaken about being THE first), it's like saying Ocarina of Time is bad, it isn't, it's just aged
The plot and writing are nothing special(evil empire invades other kingdoms because they're evil and you must free the continent, and I'm betting there's a dragon at the end) but the characters and gameplay makes up for it(well, in some maps, others can be loke that one open plain with a ****ton of Nomads, I'm almost sure Blazer has a Nomad fetish tbh)

It's fine, just that I don't think that's what they should be targeting right now.

If the gimmick is good and benefits every game on NX, it will do better than Wii U. The GamePad was only able to shine with Super Mario Maker and Splatoon to some extent, but that's because of the gyro controls.

Most games on Wii U didn't take advantage of the GamePad other than, say, Off-TV Play. That said, NX having a controller like Wii U Pro would be pretty good. The battery life on that thing is glorious.

The gameplay has it's flaws but it's still pretty damn fun especially as you level up.

Why I mainly hold this as one of my favourite Sonic games though, is for basically everything else. Soundtrack is godly, the graphics are fantastic and some of the best on the Wii, the story and character interactions are actually quite good (it's not too serious but not too "only for kids" either) with there being a lot of background intricacies in how it's told, and most of all, this game had the single best portrayal of Sonic's character in anything ever. Like if people ask me why Sonic is one of my favourite fictional characters, I point them to this game. It nails his personality and attitude from every angle.

This was also the last game Knuckles and Shadow were in before their characters got completely ruined (granted, I like Boom!Knuckles because he works for that universe, but last we saw of Knuckles in the main series, he was an idiot there too. Shadow has become completely unlikable since Free Riders, though).

Anyway I watched the video and:

-Arin spreading misinformation, saying that "this game is part of the Storybook series, which was only this game", as if it were some sort of mark against the game? Check.
-Arin calling Marza's distinctly excellent CGI animation for Sonic games and the game's watercolour comic book scenes "terrible and low budget"? Check.
-Arin saying the game is comparable to a Sonic fan fiction? Check.
-Arin doing this intentionally terrible impression of Sonic every two seconds and repeating everything he says while adding a "WUHOOO" at the end? Check.
-Arin playing incredibly poorly as soon as the gameplay starts and saying the game controls terribly, at first complaining that the game isn't fast enough, and then starts complaining that it's too fast and that he's gonna be sick? Check.

It's a Sonic playthrough alright.
