The gameplay has it's flaws but it's still pretty damn fun especially as you level up.

Why I mainly hold this as one of my favourite Sonic games though, is for basically everything else. Soundtrack is godly, the graphics are fantastic and some of the best on the Wii, the story and character interactions are actually quite good (it's not too serious but not too "only for kids" either) with there being a lot of background intricacies in how it's told, and most of all, this game had the single best portrayal of Sonic's character in anything ever. Like if people ask me why Sonic is one of my favourite fictional characters, I point them to this game. It nails his personality and attitude from every angle.

This was also the last game Knuckles and Shadow were in before their characters got completely ruined (granted, I like Boom!Knuckles because he works for that universe, but last we saw of Knuckles in the main series, he was an idiot there too. Shadow has become completely unlikable since Free Riders, though).

Anyway I watched the video and:

-Arin spreading misinformation, saying that "this game is part of the Storybook series, which was only this game", as if it were some sort of mark against the game? Check.
-Arin calling Marza's distinctly excellent CGI animation for Sonic games and the game's watercolour comic book scenes "terrible and low budget"? Check.
-Arin saying the game is comparable to a Sonic fan fiction? Check.
-Arin doing this intentionally terrible impression of Sonic every two seconds and repeating everything he says while adding a "WUHOOO" at the end? Check.
-Arin playing incredibly poorly as soon as the gameplay starts and saying the game controls terribly, at first complaining that the game isn't fast enough, and then starts complaining that it's too fast and that he's gonna be sick? Check.

It's a Sonic playthrough alright.
Did Arin go "OH GEEZ I HOPE I DON'T FALL IN THE PIT! WHOOOOOOOPS!" before jumping in it though?

"And you wonder why most aliens only communicate with your livestock."
Alien Force confirmed better than original series in terms of humour
No.

The game made a wise choice and gave him no pits to jump in for the first few levels. :p
Honestly, Arin's gone from a likeable asshole to an annoying asshole when Jon left. Doesn't help that he taps into his inner DSP all the time "WHAT THE **** DO I DO?!" 'Press this button' "**** YOU GAME I CAN FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF" *20 minutes later* "JESUS CHRIST THIS IS HORRIBLE GAME DESIGN!"

In most other playthroughs of games I'm interested in, I can usually tolerate Arin because Danny usually remains pretty fun and sensible, and even Arin himself can say funny things when he's just cracking jokes with no real intent behind it. Dead Rising is a good example, I love the Dead Rising playthroughs.

However, with Sonic, Arin has this inherent bias against the series and will hate anything with Sonic in the name. He will do his absolute hardest to make the game look as bad as possible, and he isn't even subtle about it (he even fully admitted he hasn't played Black Knight before, yet still went in with "this game is terrible because people told me it was"). And the thing is, because Danny isn't much of a gamer, he's super impressionable, and almost always hangs on Arin's every word regarding the games they play. Which means he takes Arin's word that Sonic is bad and can only be enjoyed ironically.

Jon was much better for games like Sonic, because he would call Arin out without question when he was saying something stupid. It's part of why Game Grumps in general was better when Jon was around - you could actually get some interesting discussions on the games between Jon and Arin, which was APPARENTLY the original point of the show, alongside the joking around. Now it's mostly just talking about unrelated poop and sex exploits, unless the game is particularly interesting or unless it's a Sonic game.

One of the best GG jokes imo was when Jon and Arin were in an argument, with Arin saying that something popular sucked "Do you want to see a Grumps episode with a huge dislike bar?" The problem is that Danny is a 'yes-man' and that's boring. Another reason why I love SGB. 3 people with different opinions who make interesting conversations

I think it was also the last game with the 4Kids voice actors (not counting All Stars Racing because those were reused voice clip) before they switched to the IMO superior Studiopolis voice actors.

I don't really prefer either cast over the other overall (I think certain actors are better for certain characters from both sides), but I do think the 4Kids cast were getting really good by Secret Rings, and I thought Black Knight's performances knocked it out of the park.

I was never an avid watcher of Game Grumps, but every once in a while I would watch a couple of "best of" compilations when Jon was around and laughed pretty hard.

I'm sure Dan is a great guy, but him and Arin never really had that same chemistry Arin and Jon had. At least in my opinion.

Tfw you go back to the dungeon from when you last saved only to get curb stomped by a Black Mirage. And I thought Xenoblade X was the only Wii U RPG with those hard to beat enemies that are placed in the wrong spots.

Maybe because Xenoblade X was the only Wii U RPG before TMS.

Should of ran when you had the chance, love. They aren't called "Savage Mirages" for nothing.

But it's still not as bad as the BS Titan placements in Xenoblade X. Now that is where I question why would Monolith Soft expect us to fight low level monsters near a Titan's resting spot (like a certain mission in Primordia I remember).

Hey ChikoLad ChikoLad the music modding method you taught me yesterday won't work with an USB drive, won't it?
I don't think so.

It might work with one of the other programs you can boot up on Loadiine. But as far as SDCafiine goes, that's strictly about using the SD card.

I haven't touched any of the other Loadiine programs, so unfortunately I can't say for sure if there is a way to go about it with the USB drive, so I'm not really the person to ask. Everyone seems to just cite this method using an SD card though so I assume that's because, if not the only way to do it, then it must be the lowest risk and most user friendly way to do it.

Well then I finally have no other choice but to buy an SD card (I'm using my old 3DS' 2gb one and I'm already running out, whoops).

Got it, it managed to catch me so how due to its speed. But for future references, avoiding them should be a piece of cake.

Yeah, I can easily tell so many horror stories of getting attacked by a Titan because my party happens to be fighting smaller enemies near it (those mulitarmed monkeys for example). It was a good thing I bought a damn Skell to make these things easier for me. Exploring Primordia as an under leveled Pathfinder can be a good thing and a bad thing.

The North American release date for the Link's Awakening X Linkle Falcon DLC for Hyrule Warriors has been announced: June 30.

It's cool to see the first handheld title get new love since its release.

Sometimes it feels like the great shows end too soon and ****ty shows get all the seasons they want.

RIP Wonder...
Let's hope the stop motion abomination called Pickle & Peanut get the cancellation it deserves.

Wander Over Yonder never deserved the fate it has gotten. This is giving me Young Justice flashbacks already.

Y'know, fate really sucks sometimes. The good cartoons like WOY get cancelled early while **** like Pickle and Peanut gets renewed. Damn everything right now.

._. Seriously? Also, I remember seeing a pic where there was a shelf with Wii U games, and Mighty No. 9 didn't even had a price tag in it and it had the caption "They already know no one wants to buy this game" , then, a few days ago, Steam showed me some games because of the Summer offers thingy, and games like The Witcher and the like appeared, all showed the cost and the lowered price for the day, but Mighty No. 9 popped in, and just like in the shelf, it didn't had any price shown.

I thought the reviews were going to be negative overall but it says they are "mixed".

Who is this universe greatest evil doer?

Haaaaaaaaaaater! All right!

Man what a finally! Everything was perfect, especially Hater, we met all of my expectations. I nearly cried. I'm so sad the show is ending...

I just had a crazy idea : what if the show was cancelled to create a spin-off series focusing on Hater? That would be awesome!

Oh well, a man can dream.

Wander Over Yonder is a good cartoon, but I don't think the show really struck a chord with most people. I do really like it for what it is though. It explains why the show ended pretty early.

Playing Other M again after forever because **** me am i right?

It's really obvious there is an amazing game under the surface here, but then another silly thing happens.

Random water section, a part that REALLY need some analog stick precision, or another cutscene

Last 2 cutscenes had really flat speech and people saying things like they were narrating everything. So bad.

Don't you just love when you spend hours trying to figure out why a tool isn't working on your computer, then finally discover that the bat.file you downloaded had an extra folder in the path directory that you never use?

Because I just had that happen twice in a row! :D

Don't you hate it when you're in the middle of grinding taking out a pack of small creatures when an oversized and overlevelled tyrant (I forget what they're called in this game so I'll just call them Tyrants) just runs right into your battle and just flat out bodies you?

Then you battle a big snide Metal Faced Mechon asshole...and almost get bodied again...
Will he just eat Juju already? The boy's too much trouble for what he's worth......I mean curses he got away...

Either way I'm now lost in the mines under colony 6...

Playing Other M again after forever becuse fuxk me am i right?
Why do you hate yourself so much that you must put yourself through such things?

Other M is the N64 Metroid that Sakamoto never had to make because of Retro padding the console releases.

Awkward controls as the team tries to bring standard controls into the 3D Space?
Odd loss of normal resources (normally due to polygon limitations)?
An awkward attempt to try to integrate a far bigger aspect of story, namely through dialogue exchanges and cutscenes?
Fugly redesigns of iconic characters?

Seems applicable for a C-rated Nintendo 64 situation.

Welcome to imo the worst part of the game by a huge margin. It's an amazing game but you wouldn't be able to tell from that dungeon. Terrible music, Juju, a boss that is obnoxious ("FEELS LIKE A FLY BIT ME FEELS LIKE A FLY BUT ME"), and overall not very interesting.

Hey it least it will start to pick up soon.

Why do you hate yourself so much that you must put yourself through such things?
Penence

So the pyrosphere section is. . . ok. The amount of time you spend vulnerable is way too long. I can almost understand why you dont just have her activate her suit for gameplay readons but it's too long. Although it isnt as bad as people make it out to be. Only like 3 aections and one is basically a Quick Time Event lol. Boss was pretty cool though. Plus i just did an overblast and before I landed i hit them with a missile. So cool.

WHY is this game so flawed? It has do much potential to be awesome. And it's gorgeous! But the cutscenes are bad and there are so many weird things here and there. (Mysterious creature battle is hilariously stupid)

GAHHHH I wish there was a perfect Another M that wasnt flawed so I can know what the real potential of the series is but that will never happen because it would be financial suicide. :(
