I don't think Highschool cares how old you look, but rather what your government records says about you

Only finished ep3 just now and I have no idea how they do it. Maybe it's a governemnt program to begin with.
The main character gets eventually told that after 1 yr, everyone who spoke to him will have memory of him erased since he doesn't exist. And if he talks to anyone about the ReLife thing, his own memory is erased so he could wake up suddenly being 28 without remembering anything and not benefiting in any way.

And apparently they just look younger on the outside, inside they are same age which led to stuff like being terrible at sports.
It's just pretty funny. I already recommend it to anyone whos looking for a short entertaining anime.

Everyone was talking about that yesterday.

But I didn't watch the trailer until now. Well I guess the big show is a heel after all nowadays, it's so confused because he has an amazing record of switching from baby face to heel that it's hard to keep track.

Some interesting looking stuff though. Beyond the controllers, implementing skins is a nice touch. I wonder what kinds of designs we'll see going forward.

Don't get me wrong, with the Wii and Wii U there ain't no excuse, but with the Switch I kind of understand; the thing doesn't look thick enough for an ethernet port itself. Might still have one in the dock, might not, but - to us online play enthusiasts' chagrin - it's looking like it's targeted at primarily WiFi use and that's unlikely to change.

People gonna put up a fuss, sure, but they have three gens deep now and I think Ninty has clearly shown they don't give a hot damn.

I could see this being the case if mingling with the general population. For the show, though, I think the point is that the whole class in question has been de-aged, and thus it's a non-issue.

If we're going beyond that, though, which I guess we are...

There's probably some documentation somewhere that confirms the status if it's ever legally challenged - a card, some paperwork, whatever. Like a licence, or a re-birth certificate.

If both parties involved can produce this to verify they've been de-aged, there's nothing else legally to say. If one could not, then it would probably largely depend on local age of consent same as any other time.

It stands to reason that these documents also would be able to be subpoena'd in the event that it might be necessary to prove that a relationship is illegal, where one person has been de-aged and the other is below the age of consent but one or both are not forthcoming about it. I'd expect the frequency with which this would come up to also largely depend on local age of consent.

"De-age" doesn't really mean much, what does it just regenerate cells in the body that have deteriorated? The reason we have an age of consent is not because the body of the child isn't able to reproduce. It's fully able to reproduce. It's more of a mental understanding thing. In general, children aren't able to comprehend the full extent of their actions. It has nothing to do with the physical look or condition of the body of individuals.

But I guess if it's a class of ALL "de-aged" humans it doesn't really matter

Well this simplifies most everything. Even if it is a handwave and a half.

Even gives the series a shelf life of sorts - although they could follow different characters each season, I guess.
