Because the buggers might as well be Ubisoft's secondary mascots at this point.

They churn out a Rabbids game at least once or twice a year compared to how few Rayman titles we've getting lately. Even a Legends follow up would have been a far more appropriate launch title IMO.

Honestly using the Rabbids is a bit of a hard sell.

Yeah they sold well and people liked them, but like the Minions, many people think they overstayed their welcome and overshadowed the real stars of their series.

If Rayman is given a prominent role, I can see it doing well. Otherwise it may flop.

As someone who's barely more invested in Mario than they are in anything Ubisoft puts out, my investment in the game is more to hope that it's entertaining enough to watch that I won't get bored waiting for the games I'll actually be buying to show up on January 12th. I don't expose myself to the Rabbids enough to be annoyed by them, I'm vaguely aware of some TV commercials with a bit of screaming and that's about it.

I will say one thing, the Rabbids and Mario probably do have some level of market overlap, just not mainly of forum age individuals. The SRPG angle might be a bit harder to sell to it's ideal target audience since they're used to more action-filled games, but then we really don't know anything about the game other than the crossover and the fact that it's an SRPG.

Oh, definitely. Not to mention Gore Magala actually has the benefit of "And this isn't even my Final Form!". Not only do you have it's Rage mode that actually changes the way it fights, but you have both Shagaru Magala, which is Gore's "Adult" form and Chaos Gore Magala, which is a freak accident that happens if anybody or any monster dare tries to mess with a Gore's transformation process. But despite all those cool things about it, it's certainly not a "pureblood" villain

Actually, there is one Monster that would definitely be considered a true villain and that's the G-Rank Crimson Fatalis in Monster Hunter Frontier, although it was also in 4 Ultimate. And the reason the G-rank Crimson Fatalis can easily be considered a villain is because unlike other monsters, the G-rank Crimson Fatalis actually hates humans and willingly hunts them. It was not only apparently responsible for destroying an advanced human civilization, but it also wears the carcasses and skins of humans it kills and it's deep red color comes from the blood of humans from their carcasses on it's skin.
But apparently, that info about it only appears in Frontier. Regardless, it is incredibly messed up and puts an dark twist on the whole "Hunter" ordeal in Monster Hunter. The G-rank Crimson Fatalis is quite literally "The Hunter" of the Elder Dragons.

Yikes, that's honestly pretty dark for Monster Hunter as that's not even something you can write off as instinct, that's deliberate murder. It definitely is more fitting of being Monster Hunter's first 'pureblood' villain then any other monster and honestly it'd be perfect for a storyline based off of that lore focusing on the 'hunter becomes the hunted' aspect of it.

I'm not counting the Mega though. Though the only problem with Mega Dos is that there's stiff competition when it comes to the Mega slot. And Mega Dos is BL, while normal Dos and Gatr are UU.

And I don't know what you're talking about, their movepools are almost exactly the same, with Gatr having a few more options, including the very important Aqua Jet and even swords dance if your want to risk the lack of speed for more power.(Better for breaking slow walls.) Gyrados is really only going to run Waterfall, Bounce, and Earthquake as attacking moves and not anything else when it comes to attacking moves. Just like Feralgatr it's pretty much going to be a DD or substitute set.(But again, no swords dance or aqua jet.) Plus Water/Dark/Ice surprisingly has much more variety of coverage than Water/Flying/Ground. Also, Gyrados is lucky it even has bounce, and even then, it's a terrible move to rely on for coverage as it works just like fly. It has Crunch and Ice fang(which is weak, you mine as well just use a stronger STAB move for neutral damage), but they're not used much for Gyrados sets and it can't pack a punch with them like Gatr can.

They're both Dragon Dancers, and the whole point of them isn't unpredictability, but rather easily taking care of teams once a team is weekend or if you find a good opportunity to set up. Ferlagatr does that job better than normal Gyrados. Though Gyrados is better defensively especially thanks to its typing. It makes it to where Gyrados is defense to key offensive types, the only downside is that it's going to easily be killed by electric(which is common because of so many water types like it) and rock.(And weakness to stealth rock is huge.)

It really depends on your team and plan, but once the set up is done, Gatr is going to be taking down opponents a lot easier. And that's more so of what I'm saying.

I haven't scanned any yet.

What I mean is, every couple of hours you are allowed 1 scan. It takes 24 hours to get the maximum amount of scans for a day, 10

When you change the time, it removes all those scans and leaves you with 0 scans, which means you have to wait 24 hours to catch something

The FASTEST you can start scanning something is 12 hours if you use 20 point scans

The 20 point scans only take 1 point but fill up 2 bars. Meaning you can capture 2 island scan pokemon in 24 hours

Thunder Wave Gyrados isn't unheard of, mainly on SleepTalk sets, but it's pretty uncommon as their are much better options for thunder wave tanks out there that do their job a lot better than Dos.(Heck, there's even much better sleep talk options.) But I suppose it can make for a surprise or to fit a very specific role in the team.

Bounce is used over Ice Fang because it's much more powerful, Ice Fang is too weak in competitive, and while bounce does take two turns it does at least force the opponent to switch out.(Usually to something Gyrados can hit with Waterfall or Earthquake if it does resist the bounce.) It works somewhat as a trap, especially after you're already set up. Bounce's power is 128 thanks to STAB compared to Ice Fang's measly 65. And super effectively, that's either 256 vs 130, which makes a world of a difference. And not to mention the decent chance to paralyze the target.

Two turn moves aren't always useless, they can be quite deadly if used correctly. Another example would be Shadow Force. They're less so rush down moves and more so trapping moves. While they could just easily screw you over, they can also screw the opponent if the user uses the move correctly.

I'd know since I've had both moves screw me over before.

Granted though, keep in mind that I'm going by what people tend to use and why. Especially when compared to other pokemon in the metagame. But really a lot of things can work as long as you have the team to support it.

My mom found a package deal for both games that was apparently really, really, really good, so now I have both games. I beat Moon, but I'm just no feeling the postgame, considering there's only one of 3 tapus left I'd want to catch, not really feeling finishing the dex (as usual)......

Completing the dex post-game has never really been something to look forward to forme, and some of the Ultra Beast I don't really care enough about to catch, so I'll probably breed for later runs.
