I think the main thing I'm wishing for on the Switch during it's first year is for it to have menu customization options more like the late-era 3DS.

I like Themes and Badges, but they were added so late that it felt like a bit of the point was lost.

Do any of you think there's any chance that they might carry over the menu improvements from the 3DS with the Switch? I want them, but I'm a bit worried about it both due to the system being part home console and thus it being possible the system menu will be designed without that in mind and because it took so long for the 3DS to have any of those things patched in.

They both seem like they would be easy revenue sources for Nintendo right off the bat, and I'd really like to see them, but. . .what do you guys think?

Anything to keep the Badge Bunny relevant.

So my next Pokemon poll will be a more unique approach; that is, it's a question you don't hear talked about much.

Throughout the series, we've had various Pokemon with arm blades as their main weapon. This next poll will be related to favorite arm-blade Pokemon. The options I have so far are the following:

Scyther
Gallade
Bisharp
Lurantis

Am I missing anyone?

Let's have some happy.

Look at this loving family.
All these happy family pictures in one month without seeing a single "walk-in" joke. And for a popular series too. Quite impressive. Or have I been avoiding the right places?

I'm not too sure about Armaldo. Its arms look more like claws than blades, scythes, or spears.

Kabutops I can definitely see though.

I find it hysterical that Cena's able to book himself in to World title matches without any approval from the GM let alone having to qualify.

Also Cena pretty much confirmed that he's going to bury the New Era. :estatic:

Just got a Shiny Gastly through Wonder Trade.

Should I keep it or nah?
I would. It might be useful in the future if you're looking into breeding for shinies, assuming it's foreign and you could make use of the Masuda Method.

Not to mention it can turn into that pretty cool Shiny Mega Gengar later on.

Well I mean. . .when "the champ" wants a title shot he gets a title shot. especially when the champ brings in so much cash

So how about that AA huh?
And I dont mean Attitude Adjustment. New tag team champs! Sad for an Orton mark like me but I'll see how it plays out.

One last ramble since I finished playing Pokemon Sun for the night.
Water Trial complete. Was really easy thanks to cutiefly, (continuing the pattern of being useful even though it is only there because I dont have a replacemnt yet). struggle bug brought that poor wishiwashi down to -6 special attack and it was all over. Shame I brought out am alolmalaloamalaolamola because I accidentally illed the other wishiwashi and it activated Healer to cure paralysis.
Bouncesweet, which had evolved into Steenee, finished them off with no problems.
Lana seems like a fun character. Shame im pretty sure she wont appear again, or at the very least not very often.

THANK GOD for no more HMs. No rock smash and not needing a water pokemon for surf is godlike. Easily one of my favorite changes.

I really love this game making me want to catch a lot of pokemon for once. I've never caught this many pokemon before in any game but the EXP buffs, plus EXP share, the extreme fanfare from rotom, and the ability to put them in your team immediately without needing the PC is great, even before any poke pelago incentives.

Caught some pokemon like wingull, psyduck, and :060:. I need to try and remember to go back and get a formantis before I leave the route with the sudowoodo but I will def forget by tomorrow. Oh well it's in my dex for when I decide to come back.

Wonder where im heading to next after the sudowoodo

I think I had something in a dream I can use toward my story.

There was this scarecrow, except it was really creepy. It looked like they took this REAL person, stuffed him with straw (With hs real skin starting to rot) and replaced his legs with stilts so he was like 20 feet tall. I think he was holding a scythe or his arms were scythes.

I just find it funny how he can say "I want a title shot" and then he automatically gets one.

Especially considering he already failed to capture the title back at No Mercy. One would think that would put him in the back of the line.

Cleared that Wind Temple...Cannot resist that epic boss musak....

Now it's off to track down them legendary Triumph Forks! Everyone's favourite part of the game...
tbh I don't mind it that much since it allows you to visit various islands and areas that can be rather fun and interesting such as tracking down the Ghost Ship, exploring under the Private Oasis, and being able to clear one of my favourite side dungeons, The Savage Labyrinth!! And since I've cleared all major dungeons, I can go all the way!!

Also I've filled in my Sea Chart...yay me...

I rearranged my room once again. Its much, much less cramped then it was previously. I even got a place for my armchair now, which is great. All I need is a small table to put next to my chair and I got my reading/3DS playing space again. I need a table to put things like a drink on. That being said, I should of picked a better time for room rearrangement. I'm kind of sick right now, and all that dust kicked up as I was moving objects and now I'm all clogged up.

I also set up a new wall shelf. Now I can display more of my dolls and figures. I tried setting up my Daedric Knight figure there, but I need something to keep it steady. Not that it matters because it'd look weird if I set it up right now anyways cause of what's on the shelf right now. On the first shelf- Mario and Luigi models with Green, Yellow, Black and Pink Yoshi keychain dolls between them, and on the shelf under it are two divided sections, one with Raichu, Psyduck and Grotle. The other- Chingling, Monferno and Kricketot.

My computer desk has obviously my computer set up and for decoration I have my Creeper mug and my new Poké Ball Mug on both sides of the monitor. Looks neat.

In short; my room looks better cause I stopped procrastinating. Go me. :nessmelee:

I didn't find the actual Triumph Forks quest bad. It's just paying ludicrous amounts of money to Tingle that was annoying.

Yeah, pretty much...I think they nerfed Tingle's moneygrabbyness in the HD version tho...But I am pretty much saving all of my sister's and grandma's fortunes for the Triumph forks charts anyways...

That said, I miss the Tingle Tuner. D: I loved that thing. Very much fun to use. Such meme.

The Tingle Bottle isn't bad at all, though. Making it easier to collect all photos is great.

The Tingle Tuner basically was the GBA attachment that let you do various things, like set bombs in many places, find a few secrets, but most importantly, it let you buy various items like potions. It was one of the most useful things in the game.

Is there any way to access your site's advent calenders from earlier years, rather that just the current one?

During my first playthrough I stumbled upon one or two charts and pieces, and then I got tired of it and used Action Replay codes to get to Ganon's Castle.

Apart from Grandma's Soup, I find Potions to be completely useless in this game...considering how easy it is to get Hearts and Pots...
And it's not really hard enough for me to be in any kind of trouble for health...even if I am that's what fairies are for...

Actually that's pretty much the case for any Zelda game...BotW seems to change this by making health acquisition slightly different with gathering food instead of hearts...

Only part I got stuck on was timing my Grappling Hook to get the Gohma refight. :/ Game was fairly easy otherwise. I never fought Puppet Ganon, so I can't say how easy aiming that Light Arrow was... probably wasn't easy at all.

WW isn't that challenging bar maybe the first boss fight and sometimes aiming with the bow here and there. It's a fun game, though. I just think having tons of neat options is a good thing. Plus, you can't find hearts in certain areas of the game, so the ability to buy a potion whenever you want is pretty good. Like I said, it's more useful than anything else.

Also, it's only the 3D games that are fairly easy. But that's due to the control system being rather beneficial overall. Targeting enemies is a majorly useful thing. The 2D games, especially the first two, are fairly difficult in their own right. The 1st one isn't so bad, bar a few small things. The second game, however...

Finally got Dhelmise after hours of fishing, it was well worth it.

Now off to leveling up that sweet Garchomp.

I've been playing KoF 14, really good game honestly and ended up being a lot better than Street Fighter 5. Especially when you keep in mind that they don't have the budget that a juggernaut like Street Fighter does. Yet it feels so much better somehow, I don't even mind the graphics. They ended up being perfectly passable for me, though some characters do look a little off like Kyo and Iori for instance, but most are perfectly fine.(And luckily the returning characters that I really like look perfectly fine too.)

Playing this game just made me realize how much of a disappointment SFV has been, maybe I'll just recommend this game to my GF instead.(Hell, she might even pick it up a lot better, my friend who never plays fighting games played a lot better in KoF 14 than any other 2D fighter we've played.)

Was it really that hard?

Did you reset by walking in and out of the Steelix boat? The bubbling water increases the chances of finding rarer pokemon and it respawns everytime you reload the area...

Dang I really need to get back into KoF 14. That upgrade patch is coming in the next month too. Perfect time to get back in I suppose.

I'll admit for the first hour or so, I didn't follow the bubbling water method.

Just that I attracted mostly high levels Wailmers and Magikarp until it appeared.

Yeah, I just started playing last night since I was gifted it on Christmas day. The special edition too with the art book and everything, surprisingly. Then again it was my Dad who gifted me it, and he tends to give me more than I ask for.(Like usually getting me both pokemon versions, for instance.)

Oh, also, I didn't realize there was a patch. Looking up apparently it improves the graphics, that explains why it looks better than it did in even the more so recent trailers along with the demo.

(Then again I didn't really even notice the first time I played the demo because it was on a lower quality TV compared to the 4K one I just replaced it with today.)

So the current options I have for my upcoming poll feature the following Pokemon.

Scyther
Kabutops
Garchomp
Gallade
Bisharp
Escavalier
Lurantis
Kartana

Like I previously mentioned, this next poll will focus on favorite arm-blade Pokemon. That said, are there any Pokemon that should still be added? Any Pokemon from the list that should be removed?

I'm currently debating on how I should approach Garchomp for this poll. I know its Mega Evolution has scythes for hands, but its normal variant mainly has claws and fins on its arm. Would you prefer one of the poll options to specifically list Garchomp or its Mega variant?
