Gwenpool is actually named Gwendolyn "Gwen" Poole and is a character who is sucked into a comic book world and refusing to be a background character made her own outfit(very similar to deadpool's) and become a hero.Her thing is since she is from the "real world" she can depict a bunch of comic and video game tropes so she uses that to win fights ala this

Being able to play a team of X and Zero makes too much sense. In retrospect, it's surprising that if Zero returns, MvCI will officially be the first ever fighting game to have that option. The closest to that currently is Volnutt and Zero in TvC (and those Mii costumes in Smash if you play Team Battle...).

To give a super quick tl;dr as to who Gwenpool is, she's from the real world and was transported to the Marvel universe. Therefore, she knows all sorts of comic things and uses them to help her survive. She gives herself a costume and superhero name because she knows named heroes never die permanently, for example.

Essentially, her superpower is otherworldly genre savviness.

I won't lie.

Aside from Groot and, Asura Hunter, those look kind of lame.

Kamala Khan though. So happy that she might be in.



As for who I'd main so far, Captain America and either Ryu or Iron Man.

The most I've heard about Gwenpool from comic book readers is that's she's surprisingly well written for an obvious cash grab rehash.

As a person who has read her ongoing series: can confirm.

Gwenpool's series is actually really well written (and drawn) for a character that is obviously made as a Deadpool alternative/ counterpart that Marvel has 100% control over.

No because even after feeding it all of the rare candies I had stocked up at the Champion's Chamber, it still couldn't One-Shot Decidueye with a damn Black Hole Eclipse out of Night Slash, the strongest available dark move for it at this point and then died instantly.
Salazzle proceeded to do almost equal damage with no-item Flamethrower.
