Yo, Megaman Powered Up is sorely underrated. The amount of new content they put in there is crazy.

Not only do you get to play in either the original game (with new visuals), you get a remixed version with a bit more story in it, as well as two new bosses. You can also play as all Robot Masters, Roll and Protoman, and they all come with their own challenges. If that wasn't enough there was also a level editor which allowed you to share and download other levels online, years before that sort of thing was popular.

It's the best remake Capcom have put out and it kills me that at least Megaman 2 didn't get the same treatment.

Maverick Hunter X was good too but nowhere near as much, but that more has to do with MHX itself being a great game that holds up well. The remake just didn't really do enough other than add Vile Mode.

I have to agree that Colress' characterization is a bit off here. While he certainly placed more emphasis on his research even if it went down a questionable route, he only went with the route he did because it could serve him and he was willing to accept the alternative if proven wrong (which Nate/Rosa do). Here, he's pretty much a mad scientist through and through and is just pushing poor Kyurem to its limits and blatantly froze the city solid (whereas the weapon was more subdued in its damage in the actual games), which seems to have causalities. I think that hurts his character here as he loses a lot of the moral ambiguity he did have. Zinzolin is slightly stronger in his appearance here since he takes center stage of the invasion, but it came at the cost of the Shadow Triad to do it. Drayden was cool as always and his Haxorus was a terror to behold as he batted away Team Plasma's Pokémon as if they were just flies, so they were handled OK here.

So all in all, I'd say this episode is just OK, it has good animation and it was nice to see Drayden and his Haxorus again, but I dislike how it portrayed Colress and that is a significant flaw for this episode to have for me.

On a slight note though, this episode seems to take place in Black 2's universe as Opelucid is modernized rather then classic, which could hint at N having Zekrom in the next episode considering it's likely about Ghetsis combining the two dragons into one of Kyurem's forms since both appear on the poster.

Watching some of the Rabbids Invasion cartoon (big whoop, wanna fight about it?).

I fail to see how we could possibly get a :4mario: RPG crossover for the Switch with this.

Hello again, everyone! I am back from my long period of absence! I was finally able to play Pokemon Moon and I wanted to let you guys know what point I am at and where I stand in the game with my team!

Allow me to explain my current team first:

Brionne (yes, Popplio became my official starter, but he has proven to be very useful with Aqua Jet as an option for me, and despite having a Calm nature, that's alright with me).

Charjabug (from the first day, I said I would get a Grubbin after Vikavolt was revealed, and I have made progress with him since then. Even though he has a Naughty nature, I don't really mind).

Rockruff (I originally was not going to go after Rockruff (and there is still a chance I might replace her with Salandit), but the Day Form can be obtained in Moon, so there was that added factor. Has a Quirky nature, so she does not really change much).

Wimpod (which got an Adamant nature on my first catch, the best possible nature for it. May as well add on I was very excited from that happening since I hear the only way to get it is on Route 8).

I am at the point where you find out Colress is back. And let me just say right now...... Iknewit. :p

Regardless, that was very exciting to find out despite Black and White and its sequel being the only two Pokemon games I have not played.

Would it be alright of me to ask what I have missed in this thread? If it's anything related to Sun and Moon, would rather it be kept in spoilers.

The only way I'll get the Rabbids Mario RPG is if Rayman shows up.

I feel as if Rayman in the Mushroom Kingdom would be such a missed opportunity.
If the main draw of the game was "Mario and Rayman RPG: Invasion of the Rabbids" I guarantee people would be a lot more open it.
But alas, all we can hope for is that Rayman makes an appearance.

Curious, what do you guys think is a weirder crossover for the Rabbids: In a Mario RPG game or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting game?

Bro that Project X Zone 2 and Legacy Collection looks enticing as hell

I kinda hate that they built up everyone and their character in the E4 except for The Flying type golf girl.

Also I don't expect Lillie to matter as much in the future. Unless there's a Sun 2 & Moon 2
Of course after expecting all the Kahunas to be the Elite Four there were still some surprises, Acelora at least gave an explanation that Nanu didn't want to be in the E4...
and seeing the symbol I thought it was a Green Leaf and I was thinking perhaps the final member was going to be Mallow, but I guess we can't know about all of the Elite Four members beforehand as in previous games the only Elite Four member I recall meeting before taking the challenge was Flint in Sinnoh...I thought it was cool seeing a Flying type specialist in the elite four though, Flying is one of my favourite typings behind Dragon, Dark and Ghost...
She at least gave us a bit of a back story on herself being a fellow trial-champion...sort of makes her at least relatable to the protagonist...

I was actually pretty impressed with their teams...first of all they had five pokemon each instead of four like the previous two generations, still thought it was a bummer that they didn't get more challenging as you progressed like it was before Gen 5, but I guess Game Freak's keeping this as the norm...

As I said I was merely thinking out loud about a possibility for her in the future, but we don't know what Game Freak's plans are for sure after this game, barring Pokemon Stars rumours which are, for now, still unconfirmed...A lot of people are speculating that Kanto may get remakes for this Gen instead of Sinnoh...

Both are just as weird.

But the Rabbids are definitely out of place in the TMNT verse. Even if it were based on the 80's cartoon series.

I guess maybe the TMNT fighting game is weirder. Considering Mario is a video game character, like the Rabbids, that crossover kind of makes sense, but not really.

This is a legitimately hard thing to answer.

Dayruff can only be caught in the wild in Moon, there's no way to make your Rockruff into one unless you trade it to Sun

TPP has fought this Totem pokemon and has failed 7 times in a row, oh god

Maybe the Pokemon are developing them?

Its like you are paying them
That's actually an incredibly good point. It's not like Pokemon have much use for money, and there's the crates on every island to put beans in that you already basically are paying them with.

. . .Of course, the guy running the place seems to have a taste for beans, too, so maybe it's not necessarily the Pokemon you're paying after all, LOL.

Mohn straight up says that 'you can't work on an empty stomach' when it comes to developing more islands...that's why you need beans...

Poor guy might have gotten stranded in Ultra Space for gosh knows how long where whatever eldritch food there must have tasted nasty, and then he popped back out onto a desert island.

No wonder he wants to be paid in food.

I keep thinking Turtonator is fire/rock. He just looks like a fire/ rock to me

Traded a level 1 over to my moon version. He's pretty powerful considering he's fully evolved even though he's just as low level as everyone else on my team

When I play Sun after completing Moon I'll probably pick Rowlet so I can use Turtonator and Wishiwashi.

Surprise Generations was nice. Pretty good episode. Weird at no protag appearances, but it makes sense.

Next week's should be pretty good.

So...

If you could add one more gym leader to a region, what type and Pokemon would they use?

  • The type cannot be one the Gym Leaders or Elite Four of the region cover.
  • For Sun and Moon, Kahunas and Trial Captains count.
  • Be sure to say what their signature Pokemon is.
  • They have to use Pokemon native to their region.
For example, for Kanto, I would add a normal type Gym Leader.

They'd have Raticate, Tauros, Porygon and Snorlax and their signature Pokemon would be Snorlax.

Today is "Grovyle Day"
11 x 23 equals 253.

There are two "Treecko Days", on 9/28 and 12/21

Unfortunately, there are no numbers which add up (or multiply, rather) to 254 that fit in the month calendar.

So...

Dark-type leader in Kalos. Late-game gym leader.
He'd have Malimar, Pangoro, and Skuntank, I guess. Singature would be the Malimar.
Kalos leaders only have three Pokemon, so...
On rematches, he'd add a Tyranitar and some others.

I really enjoyed using Wishiwashi. And it's hilarious seeing something so small and pathetic in my hall of fame

The two words everyone wants to hear:
Dark Gym
I guess I'll put it in Sinnoh so they can have Absol, Drapion, Honchkrow and Weavile with Weavy as the signature one.

Oh yeah...

Rule still stands though.

Four, actually.
Falkner, Bugsy, Morty, and Chuck. (when it comes to the regional Pokemon thing)

----
You can still find their Pokemon in Johto.

I said native to the region, not debuted.

Pretty sure that "native=debuted" when it comes to Pokemon
I think what you meant is that they need to be in the regional dex
