After you beat the Pokémon League a second time, you can talk to a guy at the Battle Tree that unlocks the Judge function on the PC. Once you're in the PC, the bottom screen will have a button to switch the top screen from showing your Pokémon's stats to IVs:

tl;dr you can now check IVs on the PC.

This is the same company that had a console that could natively play Gamecube games and could do so even with controllers from other systems, but decided not to sell GC Virtual Console games anyway. It's not that surprising.

4 years too late it seems. Unless there are some exclusives that exist, Im not seeing a huge need for this. Still, I cant help but applaud those who cracked the code.

Not very often you see Professor Layton parodies, but I love the interaction Captain Falcon has with Layton here. "Falcon Hunch" lol.

And the the Fire Emblem x Zelda was pretty funny too because of how true it is. No one would want to be with a conversation if all he says is "Hyaa, hup hyaaat".

I keep just reading the TL;DRs for these things instead of watching them, but, uh.

I have a hunch I know why a certain character wasn't in a certain thing, actually.

I mean, the Guidances are portrayed as postgame, so he's DEAD. Not past the point of being able to be revived if he can sass you after the credits, mind you, but I doubt he's in any condition to actually be talking in general conversation. If Sakurai leaves then I guess that's on Nintendo whether or not they mess with that, but Sakurai pays attention to his own game pretty thoroughly.

I'm not sure how much they'll mess with various non-character things aside from more stages being added in general, but if the images of Splatoon and Mario Kart say anything about how much might be added then I suppose it's a wildcard. I hope no one gets mad about anything that might not be added or changed, though. Not that I don't have things I'd like to see added myself, just that it's too much of a wild card to guess safely on.

When did the first NX related patent get discovered? I want to try and figure out how long any Switch games have been in development.

Well that would depend on whether or not they were specifically made for the Switch and when people were told what.

Games that have development issues are often moved from system to system, for example, and if someone is told about a system early on enough they might start work before they even have the system to access. Early on Kid Icarus: Uprising was managed with a mix of development computers and the Wii because they didn't even have a 3DS to work with yet.

There's a couple of once-in-a-generation games that skipped the Wii U. It's entirely possible that, say, Animal Crossing and 3D Mario for example, started work before a patent was issued because they were Wii U games and then got moved over.

That said I'd be interested to hear when the patent was issued as well.
