Spoiler: My top three contains leaks

In no particular order:

1. Aquarachnid:
I love the animal it's based on, its prevo is cute, it has a great and unique typing and some great moves that I will definitely abuse
In my team, it will partake in my trapping strategy with Soak, Leech Life and Spider Web.

2. Oricorio
The designs are amazing, I absolutely adore bird Pokémon and they have an unique team.
In my team, they (?) will be my Baton Pass abusers, giving some dumb stat boosts to:

3. Toxapex
I wasn't sure what to make of this one when I saw it in the leaks but seeing it in motion and its movepool has convinced me.
Having a great and relatively unique typing, this guy will be one of the core aspects of my team using its poison, crits, toxic traps and Oricorio's stat boosts to trap the opponent.

The other members of my team will be Decidueye, who will stall with Synthesis, Roost and Leech Life, Pikipek who will do something I guess and Dhelmise who will stall too with its draining powers.

Well, people go preeeetty crazy over characters in this fandom. They'd certainly be more willing to do so for that than just for a new system.

Since they had a line about using the Ballot results for future games in the Japanese Ballot, I'm guessing Nintendo had something in mind from the moment the Ballot started.

Those people, yes. Your average player, not so much. When you have a character like Bayonetta even ranking high on the list you know you're looking at a very narrow selection of the fanbase.

Perhaps but not necessarily this port.

If it's just a plain port with all the previous DLC shoved in as new content, they would still be disappointed.

That's the point. The game just doesn't feel complete when some characters are missing and we all know how badly the fandom
craves characters. And why should the port be more barebones than the ones Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 are getting?

I don't know, I'll have @Tortilla Noggin talk about it since she knows the details (including the Smash 6 Joblisting).

What if Wii U owners were not the target demographic for the game? What if it's solely a cheap and quick port to pad the system's launch?

Yeah why not. Other developers do it.

A straight port would arguably be worse since you're not really offering anything new to the consumer except maybe all the DLC included in.

Other games can do it because they're usually more competitive... You need this new game to compete in the new meta, the official tournaments. And a lot of people follow along because they play with those guys, and so on and so fourth.

Regardless the practice is basically dead now anyway.

I don't think a Smash port with all the dlc included would sell as well as the prior plus a couple new characters and stages.

You also have costs... To make new characters, licensing old ones, and everything really. Presumably there's less (though obviously not none) legal work if it's the same game; even less still if Nintendo thought ahead.

I just realized Oricorio is literally a Bard, it can work greatly as a support Pokemon
It gets Swords Dance so it can Baton Pass the stat buffs and thanks to its ability, it can copy moves like Dragon Dance, Quiver Dance and even other Swords Dance uses which are all very common in the metagame
Not to mention what could happen if one used Swords Dance in a double with two Oricorios, though I still have to wait for the game to test that out

Like a powerful GUI which we can edit frame data, hitboxes, animations within a degree, and toggle and slide tons of physics settings.
Or just some extra modes that make the game feel different.

Must be like the thousandth time, but I still feel the main concerns with a Smash Switch port/iterative sequel should be making the online work to an acceptable standard and making some more meaningful game modes. Story/Adventure Mode would be ideal.

Characters are nice, but we hardly lack them. I consider them an extra if we get an enhanced port.

So I got news on Pokémon's new enhancing items- bottle caps.

So thankfully, the bottle caps aren't limited. You can buy them and golden bottle caps from some guy named Mr. Hyper. However a new issue has arisen; in order to buy bottle caps, you have to spend colored shards, like Red Shard, Blue Shard, etc.. So now the question is are colored shards plentiful? Can they be farmed for in some way?

Another thing to note is that there are currently no bottle caps that drop stats instead of raising them, so you'll need to breed Pokémon specifically in order to get 0 IV stats, like 0 Speed for Trick Room, or 0 Attack for Foul Play. That's hopefully not the case, as this generation has already made a bold statement about Speed.

Ima buy SMM3DS. I own the Wii U version but I use my 3DS so much more. I'm extremely glad it's being ported over.

soooo Ribombee isn't total garbage. base 95 SpA is decent, and 124 Spe lets it outpace base 120 Pokémon.

access to Quiver Dance, Roost, Baton Pass and the new move Pollen Puff (Bug, 90 BP, Special) that deals damage and if hit on an ally it restores their HP instead. pretty nice

Abilities are meh but I guess Shield Dust can't be awful if it means you can set up without being burned from **** like Scald or poisoned
