OK I don't want to get too involved with the whole election result discussion, but there is one thing I need to get off my chest.

Don't break off friendships just because they voted for a different candidate than you.

I saw some examples of this on my Twitter feed and it's heart-breaking to see crap like that.

A lot of people do so because they claim "my friends and family are in danger because of Trump, I can't be friends with anyone who supports him!".

Well, the only friends in immediate danger I see are those you are deciding to toss under the bus over their choice in an electoral candidate.

Your friendships should be more important than some election. I don't care how big or impactful the election is. At the end of the day, it isn't your president that laughs and cries with you when something good or bad happens in your life. It isn't your president that provides you with hospitality away from home when you need it. And your president won't give a rats *** whether or not you are friends with someone who voted for "the enemy". So why should you?

I don't think anyone has eve implied that minority groups can do nothing wrong. That'd be dishonest. The issue has always been that minority groups have been convicted of doing wrong when they've done nothing at all, or get punished harder for the same thing the majority does.

To clarify myself a little more, it's not that people are upset with Trump, it's just that people are blowing things waaaaay out of proportion. I've seen people say things such as he's going to make non whites slaves, unironically.

I have a close friend who's a Syrian refugee that lives in Saudi Arabia that has more confidence than a lot of people. And he actually has reason to be fearful especially for who he really is, but he's surprisingly very cool headed and got me through a tough peroid earlier this year.

I definitely agree. In fact the right tends to slam the left for buzzwords, however, the right definitely have buzzwords and labels of their own.

Actually, the reason why she won the populace vote is just because of California alone since after she lost the electoral election she really pushed California to keep on voting so she at least passed in the populace. The electoral college was made to stop huge stage from dominating too much.

I have no real stake in who won or lost the election but it's still evident that the US electoral system needs an overhaul. Maybe one that would let independent votes achieve more than a screw you to the large parties and maybe senator or two.

I'm also seeing people on Twitter call for California (and neighbour states) to secede from the US. And they're calling it "Calexit". At least come up with your own tag. "Brexit" was tortured enough and at least "Texit" flows better.

I'll just say this, most Trump voters don't openly admit they support Trump, hell, supporting Trump definitely gets you more flak than being a minority, especially thanks to the victim card, which general people are getting very tired of here in the United States. If we were to get more and more sensitive and uptight, the bigger the counter movement is going to be. People had a tendency to vote Trump as the lesser of two evils because people because there's so much sensitivity and restriction for just being for him the slightest. And that makes people feel as if perhaps people are getting too overlysensitive and PC, the point where it actually starts to shut down people for their views, it's just of another extreme of my way or the highway, just like how people tend to think once Trump gets in office, we're going to just regress back in time magically. That the media's not going to even bother to report on Trump constantly again and with the overwheming majority of them being liberal. Wait until he actually to put us down, if he even does. People give up way too easily, it dissapoints me.
