I'm sorry, but I really don't like this post. At all. While you may have seen those kind of reports, it is apparent that you haven't seen many of the reviews that were mostly positive. As someone who closely followed the game since its launch in Japan, I have never seen anybody say that XCX is generic due to Cross being an avatar. If anything, the main story is the only thing that's weaker and much shorter compared to XC. Oh, and the music but that's completely subjective (it's honestly just as good as the first game IMO). Every other aspect of the game has been improved.

With that said, do not fret about XCX's story being "worse". Please take a look at GameFAQ user Usaamahgill's post about the structure of XCX's story (no plot details, I promise!)

Well, that's really odd. I thought it was approved to use all of her games' abilities. I'd think that would make her the most versatile as a character instead of just using one of her games, even when each game has many different things she can do.

Especially because Pirates Curse is the first one that Japan is getting and the main one Sakurai would probably use as reference for her moves honestly. I mean granted he'd do his research on her, but he'd definitely reference the game that has a worldwide release as opposed to the other ones I'd think.

Indeed, some people really take this game too seriously for their own good. My article isn't meant to defend or justify Ganondorf's moveset, but to explain it and the development circumstances that led to it becoming what it is. Of course, it does contain some subjective remarks.

People blatantly misinterpreting an article isn't surprising at all. I've seen this far too many times to know how commonplace situations like this exist.

I guess I'm going to write off an entire magazine or newspaper because I don't agree with a one-time opinion article.

If I didn't think the article was well written it wouldn't be on the site. You provided rational for your opinions whichnis important. Where's this guy's justification for his claims? If it's just "I don't like it" then frankly that's not enough.

I kind of expect the hater base to grow. It's really a sign that Source Gaming is growing, if anything. I don't expect everyone to agree with us or our opinions and there isn't much we can do about it besides trying our best on everything we do.
