So I just checked GameXplain and they uploaded the Mario Maker X Smash Bros trailer on their channel as well.

What's funny is that in the comment section people are saying GameXplain uploaded the video before Nintendo did on their own channel.

GameXplain confirmed to have leaked Smash DLC.

At the very least, I think we'll get costumes. Probably "Wave 3". If we were only getting 1 stage they would've gone with a 3/3 layout. But with a 2/3/1 layout it looks weird. So I think another stage will be announced.

While the 13th situation isn't accurate, the first arcade game was released in North America (Punch Out's largest audience) in February of 1984.

30th years later was 2014, the same month and time of Mac's reveal.

Nintendo had a direct planned for February, that gave them an opportunity to reveal a new character, and Sakurai chose Little Mac, probably because he was the next newcomer Sakurai wanted to reveal after Rosalina. I'm guessing Sakurai thinks ahead and determines the order of which characters get revealed, which is why certain newcomer trailers have other newcomers featured in them.

Nintendo had a direct planned for February, that gave them an opportunity to reveal a new character, and Sakurai chose Little Mac, probably because he was the next newcomer Sakurai wanted to reveal after Rosalina. I'm guessing Sakurai thinks ahead and determines the order of which characters get revealed, which is why certain newcomer trailers have other newcomers featured in them.

The reveal order was chosen at the very beginning, if I recall correctly. It wasn't just done on the fly.

I do feel like the Mario Maker stage will be fun, but might get annoying, considering the hand seems to rebuild destroyed elements as the fight continues on stage.

My biggest pet peeve is things that cover the whole stage or viewing area. That's why I groan when Nintendog shows up or anything that makes the screen black for a bit.

I'm more of a casual player, but still **** that noise.
