Nifty Falcon Trick.

I dont know if this has been discovered or used before, but either way ima show it and just add some extra information. Maybe someone who doesn't know will read this. :S

Basically, you use raptors boost on a stage with a platform that you play on, that you can go through. Confusing to explain.
Heres a video of me vs. Steve and as the videos is uploaded for the piplup suciding into a bulborb, it shows me doing the raptor boost tech.

I do it around :05


How you do it. Cling to the side of the stage.
Hold down on the control stick
Jump forward
Raptor boost backwards


Stages it works on. (ones ive tested, possible more)

1. Distant Planet (center of stage)
2. Halberd (main moving platform)
3. Delfino Plaza (main moving platform)
4. Norfair (all platforms)
5. SMASHVILLE, (this one is super cool, BUT, you have to jump towards the stage part)

So mainly this works on CP's but could it be useful?


Once again, i haven't tested this on every stage, and im sure it works in different ways. So go and find out some and i can update the topic.


How could this be useful. It honestly goes really fast and as you know you get your invincible frames back, so it could be used for edgehogging or something, be creative.

I'm pretty sure I remember something about being able to do this on a couple stages without the whole jump part. Just hold back & press B to release and Raptor Boost.
