Does Lab Discovera from Kirby and the Forgotten Land with Fecto Forgo/Fecto Elfilis in the background/as a possible stage boss count as "partway through the game"? lmaoWe talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.
Very often the stage chosen for a new franchise is simply the introductory or the "level 1" stage. For any franchise, new or old, what do you guys think would be a stage that would be most fitting that belongs partway through the game rather than near the start?
For example, for Xenoblade 3 rather than one of the grassy plains near the start, Agnus Castle with the Backdrop of the fallen sword would be a cool stage that reps both the Xenoblade 2 and 1 portion while also being a pretty memorable mid-game location.

I'd definitely love to see more ice-themed stages. I've said this before, but I think Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime would be pretty cool to see in Smash. We talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

I'd definitley say Area Zero from Pokemon S/V. Would be really nice seeing it rendered in an engine that doesn't look like a PS2 gameWe talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

Grassland Grooves from Tropical Freeze is prolly my most wanted stage in the series. And it's right in the middle of the game.We talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

If Nintendo/TPC don't mandate it, it'd be WAY cooler to see that than uh... school.I'd definitley say Area Zero from Pokemon S/V. Would be really nice seeing it rendered in an engine that doesn't look like a PS2 game.
Compared to quite a few other characters, she's far from a unicorn.Palutena has a standard moveset? Dude she is literally our only magic staff user lol.
I'll add my voice to everyone saying Area Zero: it would be really cool.We talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

Xenoblade has so many good locations for a stage but I think it'll probable be The City since its so memorable, iconic and important overall in the game. but Agnus Castle would be dope since we'd get Queen Nia cameo. We talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

Would the moon blow up in the background of the stage?I was gonna write in "Space colony ark" for Shadow but thats the first stage in Shadow generations
I would be insulted if it didnt.Would the moon blow up in the background of the stage?
Koraidon and Miraidon are perfect stage hazard for this now that i think about it because of the reveal in the story where the legendary straight up murdered a bunch of humans down there at one point so they can have them going on a rampage. Also throwing my hat into the ring that Area Zero would be a cool stage and considering Pokemon's track record it's actually not that unlikely? Like we do already have examples of Legendaries affecting the stage in Spear Pillar and Unova League, and considering Area Zero is basically Koraidon/Miraidon's home and the Paradox Pokemon you could scatter throughout, its role in the plot as it relates to both Arven and postgame stuff like Terapagos, plus its general aesthetic would likely be BEAUTIFUL in a game like Smash?
I could see it as more of a front runner than the school, honestly. Like a moving stage that starts at the Zero Gate and winds its way down until it reaches the deepest parts where the Lab is located and Koraidon/Miraidon could appear as stage hazards because of the second more hostile one living down there?
THE YEAR OF NINJA GAIDEN BABY!!!NINJA GAIDEN IS BACK
Yeah Octopath was one of the first games revealed for the switch and was a third-party exclusive for a while. I think it deserves a stage. Probably helps that the rights propably aren't as tied up as other Squenix series.I think an Octopath Traveller stage could be really cool even without a character. The game’s HD2D art style would be awesome to see as a Smash stage and I love the soundtracks for those games.
Truthfully, I’d love a character too but that’s a bit less likely given how small the series is compared to other options. My favorite character is H’aanit. I think there’s a ton you could do with the huntress and beast tamer idea. I could see her using her snow leopard companion, Lynde, a bit like Rosalina and Luma. Throne is my favorite from the second game but she doesn’t quite have the same unique gameplay hook as H’aanit.Yeah Octopath was one of the first games revealed for the switch and was a third-party exclusive for a while. Even if it’s at the academy, at least that will still be more unique then lot of the Pokemon stages. Also throwing my hat into the ring that Area Zero would be a cool stage and considering Pokemon's track record it's actually not that unlikely? Dunno if this counts as a midgame stage, but I just drew a mockup of a potential design for an E.M.M.I. Zone stage:We talk about characters too much, let's talk some mf'in STAGES.

I've thought about this and I actually think Oatchi from Pikmin 4 is the perfect character for this. An unorthodox pick like Piranha Plant that Sakurai can show off withAssuming there will be another "free" early adopter character like there was in the last two games, who do you think has a shot?
For Sm4sh it wasif you bought both versions and for Ultimate it was
if you registered to MyNintendo.
So we have a highly requested veteran who didn't make the cut and a not highly requested but still recognizable newcomer (who was also the "wierd pick"), both first party. Since we don't know who's gonna be cut this time around (if any) I'll go off the second option and say Toad. Even though he isn't a"wierd pick" in the slightest, I think that would satisfy most people as a lukewarm newcomer who most people could go with or without.
That's fair, I just figure a sorta cinematic platform stage (like think about how Northern Cave's platform moves around) would work best rather than like an actual moving stage since Area Zero is a big spiral basically lolEven if it’s at the academy, at least that will still be more unique then lot of the Pokemon stages.
Also it’s kinda getting repetitive for them to always be two platform stages and Saffron City is the only Pokemon stage in Ultimate that doesn’t do this at one point.
i'll take it gladlyI've thought about this and I actually think Oatchi from Pikmin 4 is the perfect character for this. An unorthodox pick like Piranha Plant that Sakurai can off with

Let's talk about Culture Brain and it's Hiryu No Ken/Flying Dragon series3 new games coming to Nintendo Switch Online: Fatal Fury 2, Super Ninja Boy, and Sutte Hakkun
Shame it's not Fatal Fury Special.3 new games coming to Nintendo Switch Online: Fatal Fury 2, Super Ninja Boy, and Sutte Hakkun
Is Sutte Hakkun the first Sattelaview game released on the service? I feel like I'm forgetting one.3 new games coming to Nintendo Switch Online: Fatal Fury 2, Super Ninja Boy, and Sutte Hakkun
Damn, I didn't know the popular Street Fighter 6 characters Terry and Mai had their own game. /s3 new games coming to Nintendo Switch Online: Fatal Fury 2, Super Ninja Boy, and Sutte Hakkun
There was a cartridge version of the game, that might be the one they're putting on NSO.Is Sutte Hakkun the first Sattelaview game released on the service? I feel like I'm forgetting one.
I thought the cartridge version lacked levels from the final update but looking it up I'm apparently mistaken and its content complete, that makes more sense. It's a shame since I was hoping it might mean some other Sattelaview games were on the table in some form. There was a cartridge version of the game, that might be the one they're putting on NSO.
I've always held hope that Hakkun one day makes the jump to at least Assist Trophy status, given Sutte Hakkun is like the one comparatively-breakout Satellaview IP.
It would really be something if we got the BS Legend of Zelda games on the SNES NSO.I thought the cartridge version lacked levels from the final update but looking it up I'm apparently mistaken and its content complete, that makes more sense. Updated versions of the BS Archanea Chronicles maps appeared in New Mystery of the Emblem, but they lacked the voice acting and time attack nature of the originals, so I guess those half-count?It would really be something if we got the BS Legend of Zelda games on the SNES NSO.
Oh, thinking about it, how many Satellaview games have actually been re-released? Cause I remember that while not re-released, the vehicles from the BS F-Zero games were apparently put into F-Zero 99 and the game Radical Dreamers(which I think was Satellaview-only originally) was released alongside the new Chrono Cross remaster IIRC. So would Sutte Hakkun be technically the 3rd Satellaview game re-released or were there other ones re-released?
