When Sakurai talked about each limb being a separate button, the first thing I thought of was Tekken.

Pretty good, I really liked the trailer they put out even though it felt pretty budget. Min-Min looks exciting, though I do think her animations are kinda boring (the model itself looks great though). The way they implemented ARMS was pretty cool too, and you can tell why the fighter took a fair bit amount of time to get done. Thankfully I was right that they didn't try to hamfist multiple characters into the same slot.

RIP to Heihachi. Vault Boy looks really cool.

I was hoping for Springman but Min Min is cool too. Nice to have a female fighter that isn't an alt or sharing a moveset with a male character too.

I wan't both plus Ribbon Girl. I have never played ARMs but the game seemed like a good fit for Smash. I enjoyed what they did with Hero and I wish we could see more of that.

First DLC character that's actually disappointing to me. It's what literally everyone else wanted though so I won't rain on their parade. They'll have enough of that with all the people complaining about her in online play anyway. lol

I think it's safe to say Assist Trophies do 100% disconfirm now, but on the bright side, base game Spirits 100% do not, so that argument can finally be dropped. I'd say the same for most DLC Spirits as well depending on whether or not they were made pre-wave 2.

Seems like they learned their lesson by not humiliating a single character on the trailer by using everyone to kinda soften the blow, just like Terry's trailer; I already don't hate the new ARMS character, and that's good (I'll still wait to see if I buy it, though). On the other hand, if Spring Man who had by far the best shot can't be promoted from Assist Trophy, then I don't think anyone else can.

Also, kinda glad to see my least wanted character may be out of the run. Even if it also means my favorites from the same game have no chance either, I rather be iniffernt than dissapointed.

Kinda disappointed the vault boy costume doesn't come with a music track, but it is what it is.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Springman got in next smash game if ARMS continues.
In addition, I wouldn't consider the protagonist first "rule" to be completely dead as Sakurai did state everyone was one, though you could argue against it.

I don't think so in this case. Everyone from ARMS got Chrom'ed for Min Min to show up. Plus they all actually did something in the trailer unlike Chrom who just laid there defeated. I think it's more akin to Terry's trailer with everyone trying to get it.

I'm in a state of bliss, I am so happy. Min Min really made it. I knew she could do it! I just love how ARMS' director minced no words: "I want Min Min." She's the real MVP, huh. I also liked how Sakurai said his own preference was either Min Min or Ninjara.

I actually feel bad for heihashi fan. I didn't put him in my final prediction of the pass, but it's a character that I went back and forth and I really thought he had a great shot this time. I wonder what this means for Lloyd too, perhaps Namco will juste have nothing again? I guess we'll see.

Also I'm pretty shocked that they put Vault boy as a mii before Doom guy. Maybe Doom guy will come later.

RIP Heihachi, He was my preferred Namco character alongside Don-Chan so to see him go is kinda sad.

Anyways, The main thing I came here for and correct me if I'm wrong or whatever but: Sakurai stated he pretty much only looked at Ninjara and Min Min seriously correct? In that case and if he didn't look at any other character with as much consideration doesn't that disconfirm the "No Spirit Upgrades" fan-rule?

I'm not saying there will be Spirit Upgrades beyond Min Min cause even if she is one herself that doesn't instantly mean more will come but the whole "Spirit Upgrades are literally impossible" thing is bunk if Sakurai absolutely disregarded that Ninjara/Min Min were spirits and wanted to choose them as the character. He can easily do that with other characters which once again I'm not saying he for sure will do but he could.

Also Min Min looks pretty great.

Doom Guy has been deconfirmed for a while though given statement from the developers in an interview.

Min Min looks really fun. Sad about Heihachi. Very interested about the Vault Boy skin. If they’re working with Bethesda & only got that instead of playable Doom Slayer or Dovahkiin, I’ll be very disappointed.

I’m really doubting we get a Namco character at this point. I’m betting they don’t want one in as some sort of modesty thing since they develop the game.

I wouldn't discount Soul Calibur. I could see that franchise making it in.

Could also see KOS-MOS or even Digimon do it if Nintendo counts Digimon as a video game-mainly franchise.

Min Min's a surprise, but i'll take it. She looks pretty fun, and at the very least, Spirits are open again (Actually, what does happen to Min Min's Spirit battle?). It's also nice to know that apparently, there isn't really a main character in ARMS, so that settles that dispute.

I feel so, so sorry for Spring Man. Forever stuck in snowglobe hell, it seems. Perhaps he'll get his chance another day...

Can't get over the fact they actually got away with namedropping Dragon Ball on stream. Are they even allowed to do that?
