hello everyone:bee:

errm ive had rawl for about a week but i am stuck to it all day.. literally. i now play as wolf, ike and a LITTLE lucario.. but the style of play of snake is attracting my attention. so i tried him out a couple of times but i cant get the hang of him ive even read a couple of guides to help but i still dont get the hang of it.
can anyone pleasehelp me here... basically i need a way to train on snake because right now my options are my bro: who will just beat me up with olimar, and the CPUs- but do they really work to train with snake? because from what ive read is that snakes style of play is based upon pressure and mind games.. but the cpu doesnt really feel pressure.. right??:ohwell:

so if anyone can give me tips for playing as snake for beginners.. such as, say, his pros and cons, or if not can somone tell me an efficient way as training as snake?

Use all his tilts, lots of mines/grenades/C4 and learn to Mortar Slide first.

His Pros are that he's got great range, great damage and great kill potential

His Cons are his recovery. It's easily Gimped/Spiked/Grabbed

Snakes Ftilt combo has great range and is probably his best keep away ability on the ground. There are ways to force a CPU opponent to eat a nade or C4/Pro. Mine... for instance on Fin Dest. a good way to edge guard w/ Snake is to drop two nades near the edge, jump back a space and drop a C4, this way if your opponent tries to jump over the nades he/she will probably land right next to or on the C4/Pro. Mine depending on the character and how far they can jump. Make sure to spam your mortar as well if they're descending from above and they're trying to grab the edge.

Also, I've noticed that CPUs tend to always roll towards the edge. You can easily **** them by doing a down throw and then F-Smashing towards the edge as they'll tech roll that way.

Well, I would recommend learning how to mortar slide first because it will be a big part of Snakes approach game.

Make sure to emphasize your game on land, utilize his jab combo, f-tilt, and up-tilt, which all have excellent priority and range.

Using aerials too approach will most likely get you punished and shield grabbed, so only use them when you're opponent is in the air.

Snake's largest weakpoint is directly behind him, so always try to stay face to face with your opponent.

Also, I don't like using grenades too often unless the other player is at a far distance.

Hope that helps :)
