New up B setup?

OK i THINK this is fairly new or has not beeen posted yet. if it is my bad delete this and whatnot.

i was fooling around yesterday trying to find tauntspike setups. i found one for DDD computer but i really don't think its that good and highly situational xD

ANYWAYS i began doing this while NOT on the edge. JAB>crounchdtilt>upb. the jab stuns them enough to dtilt, the dtilt usualy trips and even if it dfoesn;t im pretty sure the up b will hit at low percents. this iwll not work on high pereecents cuz teh dtilt will knock them upwards instead of tripping. on fd i killed metaknights at lik less than 60ish percent. may be anotehr way to mix things up i unno, if someone who has a freidn wants to try this out orr test the effects of di ect plz do.. this is more just an idea that i think might work.

I actually saw that vid last night. and yes I usually set the CPU lvl 9 to random they aren't too hard, but I was told not to train on lvl 9s because they make you too predictable against real people.

Also i did a little testing with this so far it doesnt seem to work well with marth u have to move forward a bit and up B to actually hit him, i tried it againest pit to same result, however when he doesnt trip he gets hit by the up B this is all in training mode since my roommate isnt here yet though.

kthx i was just wabdering if ppl ca beat easily 3(on 5) stock them depends on the char. It's amazing how Sonic is actly my hardest to pla againts him...PT too and Metaknigh seems easy too...but I probably didnt see a good MK ever...

Also, guys I don't want to mae a new thread so can u just recomend somone that is completely different like COMPLETELY from Luigi I want to second him...btw I alsready second Tink.

Wouldn't jab>upB be better because its faster and generally unexpected when used? Sounds to me more reliable than relying on forcing a trip

but I could be wrong (and probably am XD)

No, this is a good idea and a excellent mind game.

In Fl, most already know me an fear the jab setup...

If i connect with a jab, the usually double stick DI away, and sometimes it works. So ive been graabing alot if i see them go out of reach after the grab.

BUT, it sounds like i can get a dtilt in after a jab....which in turn trips my opponent, which is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

Then, you have 5 options...
Either 1. Determine there in range to upB or run alil further an upB without them having a chance to recover.
2, 3, 4, Tech chase them either them rolling back, forwards, or attacking/standing up, an if you predict right, upB.
5 is beautiful, an most skilled Snakes already do this. If you feel that they will just wait on the ground...upB.
The few frames or second of invulnerability goes away, allowing for a free hit...which would be a upB...

The whole mentality of fighting a luigi is when/where they are gonna pull the UpB. This scare factor is what gives way to feints in grabs, tilts, smashes, etc. On top of that, when your opponent is big or is drained down to a shield small enough to be shield poked, the jab to dtilt is a great set up for a trip. Another thing i do, is pressure them into an airdodge with a fireball, and meet them on the ground with a dtilt before they hit the ground. It creates a mini jab lock/dtilt lock w.e. and you can set up for an UpB. I find this works at like 70+ however.

The jab>dtilt is always good.

- Ok now we all love upB and now this is where the jab cancel into Dtilt or Jab Jab cancel into Dtilt comes in. Now remember for this to work you have to make sure your Dtilt trips and as soon as that happens your upB is a surefire hit. So then you would have an amazing setup Jab cancel into a Dtilt>trip>upB or Jab Jab cancel into a Dtilt>trip>upB.

Yea that's kinda like in my strat and setup discoveries thread . My conclusion is you guys don't like to read or you just avoid big extensive posts don't you? . Either way it works wonders jaja (to many epic up b's.)

I don't usually find anything new on the Luigi Boards, just rehashed info thats already been stated, but you're right about people not reading extensive posts, even though they are the greatest sources of info.

the thing is there is no setups....to be on the safe side i just jab up-b or jab-grab

cause last stock my opponent will shield spam.....giving me free grabs the whole time...basically casue they are scared of ping....its quiet hilarious...
