Is Link really that bad in SSB64?

All characters in smash are pretty good, they all have killing tools, just play him an get good, no character is 'that bad' play him if he's your favorite, trust me

Well, there's two reasons I'm making this. First, Hyrule is banned so Link and Fox are much worse and characters like Falcon and DK are much better now that Dreamland is a guarenteed first stage.

I don't see how Falcon would be better on Dreamland because he can't recover well on that stage.

My favorite character is Captain Falcon, he's really easy to combo with.

Falcon can kill quicker and run to other side of dream land quick to edge guard making him some what better in dreamland, he is safer on Hyrule tho :3

Yeah on Dreamland he has poor recovery, he's much better off on Peach's Castle or Brinstar, because Peach's Castle has the moving platform to catch him and Brinstar has the rising acid to catch him.

Peaches Castle is actually terrible because there is no ledge, so he cant grab anything, but in dream land he can grab the ledge/sweet spot it, and mix up his recovery, in peaches, theres only one option, above the ledge
