You're misinterperting my post.
Even the best powersielders can't powershield everything.
And again, there is nothing stopping the falco from powersielding them right back (I believe this happened in armada vs Zhu?)
Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that FD completely changes the neutral game.

I think BF should maybe not be the only stage available, but in my opinion the DSR should not affect it. As pretty much everyone said here, it's clearly the most neutral stage, whatever the definition is, so I don't understand why it (the DSR) still applies to it (BF).

Something approaching has already been posted before, but I think a good stage list would be BF FD DL64 YS PS, no wind, no shy guys, no transformations. Maybe no Randall.

My two cents.

Also, I've been looking for Project M's stage list, but wasn't able to find any pictures, does somebody know where I could find this?

I didn't misinterpret you. It's entirely possible to powershield almost every single laser (I'm talking 90+% here).

And its possible to powershield those back.
It still changes the way you need to play in neutral.

Good god, powershielding lasers covers like 10% of the usefulness of powershielding.

vanir, you're just wrong lol. Even if it WAS impossible to powershield lasers consistently like you suggest (definitely wrong), what's stopping you from picking falco and fighting back? Oh wait you're not good with falco? So again, I say, WHICH CHARACTERS TO WE CATER THE RULESET TO?

edit: vanir, have you NEVER encountered falcos that offset their lasers vertically to throw off your powershielding? Oh wait, you think powershielding is too hard and is therefore not an issue, lmao. Just keep practicing.

Lol you are just attacking me now.
And again, even if you are powershielding 100% of the time, FD changes the neutral game.

I'm trying to remain unbaised and think of the most neutral stage for the majority of the cast.
That stage is battlefield, certainly not FD.

Kirby's greatest contribution to the game was his two good stages and you guys don't even want one of them anymore.

Y'all are haters.

Something to remember for the players that favor BF only is that not everyone enjoys that stage or even finds it the most neutral in their experience. I accept that a large percentage of people disagree with my opinion, but I'm glad that I can strike/ban battlefield currently. It's my least favorite playable stage by far and I would be discouraged from attending any tournament that forced me to play on that stage. I think the current stage list is pretty good at balancing the game while accommodating different viewpoints.

From a competitive and personal standpoint, I love battlefield only.
However, having BF only is only going to make this game die faster. Seriously, think of a new player just finding out about competitive smash just to hear that BF is the only stage.

I'd be fine with YS DL BF though even with ^ in mind.

BF

YS (no randall, no shyguys)

DL64 (no wind)

PS (only first transformation)

FoD (stationary platforms, but lower than YS/BF's lowest platforms)

FD

^^^ whichever is the least popular being omitted, this is ideal imo, all things considered.

1 map stage stricken, 1 map each CP'd by each player with no bans.

SMH at people complaining about Yoshi's story cause of the cloud. Its on a damn timer. Its not hard to keep track off. For those that dont know it comes out on the 4's. To be specific at :54. :34. :14 seconds of every minute it wil come out on the right and :44, :24, :04 seconds of every minute it will come out on the left.

Also for anyone saying FoD is better than yoshi's story for competitive play is biased as all hell. Explain to me how the cloud on a timer so you will know exactly where it is at all times is worse than platforms that rise and fall at random.

Most people were saying FoD and FD should be banned because they make matchups less neutral (whatever that means), so some people simply pointed out that FoD probably has more even matchups than either YS or DL. People just don't like playing FoD because they suck at using low platforms, so they strike it every game.
