If the case can be made that Fox's specials are based on the abilities of Arwings, then it at least makes sense for Wolf to have similar specials since the Wolfen is pretty much the same. Also that green blast of his is totally based on the charge shot in Star Fox 64. So cool.

Funny enough, I just learned why Leon had that awkward moment in Brawl....
In Japan's StarFox 64 (Lylat Wars), he was flamboyantly gay. This was heavily toned down in the localization.

I took a quick look at the Wolfen's stats in command as that's where the ships for every character was made unique. His ship has twin lasers, multi-lock, one bomb limit, good shield, and excellent boost.

I'm thinking, for Sm4sh, an eight-way laser (multi-locks) that kind of acts like Sylvia's desperado (he IS essentially a space cowboy), a teleport Wolf Illusion with invincibility on startup, a reflector similar to this, and a bomb based command grab.

If we're going by Command's stats, then I want Panther in Smash. His ship was so BROKEN. Probably why you didn't get a lot of opportunities to use it.

I bet some of Command's additions to the series would work well on the WiiU's tablet thing...

I just realized something about my little concepts if you apply them to the space furries.

Laser
Fox: Spammable, limited range, not hitstun.
Falco: Somewhat spammable, full screen, some stun.
Wolf: 8-way aimable and spammable. Very limited range and some hitstun.

Illusion:
Fox: Jump cancelable on hit or block, feintable.
Falco: Jump cancelable on hit or block, more range.
Wolf: Fastest, safest, invincible on startup. Not jump cancelable. Functions similarly to Pikachu's Quick Attack.

Reflector:
Fox: Interrupt momentum, quick on startup and recovery.
Falco: More offensive in use. Functions similarly to an EX Spnning Bird Kick on ground, but a gravity obeying VJ Zoom kick in the air.
Wolf: Claw swipe. Has defensive uses as an anti-air. Can only reflect one projectile one side at a time.

Fire:
Fox: Same.
Falco: Now a Flash Kick, jump cancelable on hit.
Wolf: Has a command grab instead.

Wow, I'm surprised at the many ways to do takes on these attacks.

That would be, but then the question would become "who else is left?" All of those characters are pretty much expected by people, so the real fun would be going from there. Also, you know if this crazy man and his Slime talk becomes real and shows up at E3 there would be a fan meltdown similarly to Solid Snake being revealed. I'd laugh so hard and feel extraordinarily validated.
