Well, that's two Japan only games that didn't appear in Sakurai's journal and were made into AT's. (Saki and Stafy) Sukapon, Demille, and Professor Kawashima were mentioned twice so I don't think they're all that safe. With this unveilment, it shows that, like with swordsmen, Sakurai's being very careful with his Japan only character choices. Of these three, Demille is definately the one in the most trouble because Sukapon was one of one of the most requested characters during the offical 2001 Melee poll and the star of Nintendo's first true fighter and Professor Kawashima is the "star" of one of Nintendo's best selling games in the past decade and we already have the DS icon (yeah, he's a floating head but he could easily be given a body).

Well, in other news, Claus was mentioned 4 times and, with Ness getting the boot, it's easy to say that he's safe and since Takamaru was mentioned 3 times and Sakurai has already downed three very popular katanna users, I think he's safe as well.

Still, I'm sorry that this happened.

It's probably just as well. Still, Stafy is a WAAAAAAAAAY better character than Waluigi. He should've gotten some more respect than this. Oh well.

I felt the same about Stafy as I did about Mac. I supported them both as PCs, but it didn't devastate me. Getting in is better than nothing.

Stafy sacrificed himself so as not mar the great Brawl roster. He knew what had to be done and he did it. Do not be sad for stafy and have fun playing the game. Stafy would want that. If you look into your heart you know this to be true. Let's bow our heads in a moment of silence.

I've played all of the games and there's hardly any potential for Stafy. He can't physically fight at all, all he does is spin to attack. That's be his only B move.

Laugh about Stafy not being a playable character as much as you want, trolls. This didn't bother me very much, because this is better than not adding him at all. And while the official website spelled his name as "Stafy", that is most likely the official spelling. End of alternate spelling controversy! No more Stafi, Starfy nor Starfi! It's okay to make his attack very simple, because Sakurai needs to save enough storage on the Wii disc to add more characters and stuff to it.

I kinda had a feeling that there would be a bit of an uproar over the way SSBB treated Stafy... I mean, you could beat the poor guy up... You just don't do that to an AT... And why did they make his attack so pathetic? Did Mr. Sakurai do this just for the WTF-reaction? I don't feel strongly about this character or anything, but a lot of people will be upset about this, and I don't think they gave the guy a fair shake... That's all I'm saying...

stafy seems too "cute"(I guess is the right word) to be a fighter. I know this is nintendo/brawl we are talking about here, but the Assist trophy thing seems to do him well, and his case seems to be the only exception to me. He sounded like he would have made a good japan only character in the roster though.

A sideways version of his spin attack called "Spin Attack Level 3", which I sometimes call it his "shooting star" move:

This move looks similar to his "shooting star" move, which I sometimes call it the "falling star" move. Unlike the "shooting star" move, the "falling star" doesn't spin. I don't know what it is exactly called, but here is it's Japanese name: りゅラせいあたっく

A move where he uses Kyorosuke called "Powerful Spin" (VIDEO on the lower-right side)

A move that makes a fairy-like creature heal Stafy (VIDEO on the upper-right side)

A move where he holds up a spinning coin. If heads, every enemy on screen is damaged. If tails, Stafy is damaged (VIDEO on the upper-left side)

And several things he wears or rides on:

Hahah, part of me is glad just to have an official U.S. spelling! Great rebuttal on the "OMG no moves!!1!" thing, by the way. Stafy could have made a really fun character. Well, there's always next time.
