I just want Stafy in the game, maybe now that the game is delayed Sakurai can throw us Stafy fans a bone and make him playable, but it's not likely that he is icluding anything new at this point :(

He is not to be confused with the same star from Super Mario Galaxy, Twink from the first Paper Mario, Kirby, nor the star character that appeared in the SNES and Game Boy versions of Kirby no Kirakira Kizzu / Kirby's Star Stacker.

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but the way I see things now, Stafy might just end up an Assist Trophy! :(

I mean, characters like Lyn, Little Mac, and Samurai Goroh all ended up that way, and many people wanted to see them as full-fledged characters...

Plus, although Stafy is emensly popular in Japan, he wasn't really mentioned on Sakurai's Poll...

He's still my top most-wanted character, though (formerly held by King Dedede before he was confirmed), but if he just turns out to be an AT, then I won't be too surprised.

However, I Do expect him to be in this game in SOME shape or form.

problem is, those people had things holding them back:
little mac, while he would have been a good character, had one major flaw to him: he was a boxer. meaning that he cant do anything but box. not even grab. and lyn and goroh seemed to have been knocked out by everyone's favorite famicom samurai.
stafy, however, has a few things going for him: He's a favorite of sakurai (he said he would like to see a game with stafy and kirby in it together.) and he's unique. he has no competition, unlike the two unfortunate samurai who stood in taka-kun's way. there's no need to be so pessimistic.

I hope to God he isn't an AT, or even worse, an updated AT.

After Samurai Goroh, Tom Nook, and Little Mac deconfirmed before the I got the game, I wouldn't be able to take Stafy D:

Tha'ts true...

But the thing is, Sakurai said he would not want to put too much of an emphisis on Japanese exclusive characters, and Takamrau and Sukapon both made it to Sakurai's poll...

Really, I want all 3 characters to be playable, really. But I'm starting to have my doubts...

I think Sakurai would only put an emphasis on JP only characters is if he gave us ten of them....a total of 4 would be fine (^^)v

Let's see, Lucas, Stafy, Takamaru, Sukapon... Yeah, I suppose that seems fine, in retrospect.

Especially compared to the possible total playable characters... which should be at least 40, IMO.

I am on with Stafy for Brawl. But after seeing Jill as AT, maybe that is his destiny.

Don't forget Marth and DeMille.
Even though, the Fire Emblem DS title starring Marth will most likely be released worldwide, he is still a Japan-only character.

DeMille still has a chance at entering SSBB. If Sakurai talks to Chihiro Fujioka about adding Geno into SSBB, and if they can't add him, then they might add DeMille instead. Why? Because Chihiro Fujioka produced Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Geno's origin) and Tomato Adventure (DeMille's origin). Also, DeMille was mentioned twice in the SSBB poll with many words.

Oh right, forgot about DeMille (Demiru)!

I purposely didn't mention Marth, because I felt he was a shoe-in character (and that whole Fire Emblem DS thing).

That's true. However, he is still a Japan-Only character, due to not appearing in a Nintendo title released outside Japan other than SSBM and perhaps SSBB. We know that pretty soon, Nintendo of America will release the upcoming Fire Emblem DS title.

Stafy is male. If he was female, then he would be pink and wear a dark pink bow like his sister, Stapy.



Speaking of Stapy, I believe she would be one of Stafy's costumes.

As a fan of obscure characters characters your initial post has convinced me to give his series a shot to see if he has my support.

One thing though is that his down special you suggested seems to be air based, which is fine but any ideas for a grounded down based special?

at the moment i am making a Kirby-Stafy crossover fanart because... they will ignore it if it was a Stafy drawing...
I have a more active account at SheezyArt and the community there is way much better than in DeviantArt.(people actually DO comment and fave on my work there)

I hope it turn out good.!
