I love this video for several reasons.
1. The almighty Captain Falcon is back.
2. Chrom isn't playable.
3. Sal was wrong.
4. Everybody were expecting Shulk.
5. Sal was wrong.

Okay, so Sakurai was originally gonna go with Chrom, but ended up choosing Robin instead. Chrom became Robin's final smash and Lucina was added as a Marth costume.
So there's just Shulk and Chorus Kids left to go and we'll have our 47 character roster.

Gematsu is not deconfirmed. Chrom is still in the game in some form so technically it's another point for him. I guess that means more characters to come then.

I don't think character leaks work that way..he clearly meant that Chrom would be a playable character..and he also e-mailed Gematsu stating that Shulk would 100% be revealed today.

Dangit SSB4, I'm running out of space in my signature for possible Mains in SSB4! So many newcomers that are so awesome. I was incredibly surprised that Fire Emblem got 2 newcomers. Is Fire Emblem really that popular now? Though, Smash did make Fire Emblem popular in the first place, so it makes sense to put in 2 more characters..... Wait a second, I wouldn't be surprised if they put in Roy now (inb4 Roy is Alt costume of Lucina).

However, after Brawl, I'm not interested in a Marth or Marth clone. Sorry Lucina and Marth. Maybe I'll be interested in you if I actually played the Fire Emblem games.

Nice to see Captain Falcon returning. I was worried that he might be removed since we heard that they might be cutting veterans. Of course, I was foolish to think so since he is the Smash poster boy and you cannot deny the awesomness that is the Falcon Punch. Now we must come on and show him our moves. I won't use Captain Falcon, but I always loved him in the game, I always viewed him as a classic Smash character (same with Marth in Melee).


I love Swordsmen, I love Mages, I love hooded characters, Robin has a nice overall design. I think Robin will be right up my alley, I'm usually not a fan of human characters as they tend to be boring. However, he's not perfect. He does have the Marth/Shulk "pretty anime boy" face thing going on, and I'm not a fan of his sword's design. ZigZag swords are very hard to make a good design for. At least the sword sounds awesome.
Robin goes right up next to Link for possibility for a main. Though, I don't think he's going to have the versatility that Link's projectiles have, also Robin seems to have rather short range for a sword user outside of his tomes, which is one of the main reasons why I have a hard time getting into Toon Link (it's my biggest beef with him). I need to know more about the tomes. I don't want him to be a character where the player constantly runs away to stale for time so he can have another tome.
Robin might just turn out to be the SSB4 version of Marth for me. A character that has a design I vaguely like, and seems to have very good gameplay. Though, I'll have to get my hands on the game first. Afterall, Marth somehow felt worse in Brawl than he did in Melee (Him and Samus were the only character that felt worse, everyone else felt better).
Of course he could turn out like the SSB4 version of Ike for me, in the fact he could be a really really really fun character to play, but only in short bursts because of some flaw (Ike was that he was too slow for me, but his hits felt so perfect).

As much as I'm excited to see Capt. Falcon return, he was honestly a shoo-in. Anyone who thought he was cut from the game clearly wasn't thinking straight. I love how Robin is in the game, but I can't be the only one disappointed in Lucina, right? I feel that she's only in the game due to being unpredictable. No Chrom, really? He's arguably the main character of Fire Emblem: Awakening or at least the deuteragonist. Lucina is like, the triteragonist at BEST. That's like replacing Batman with Robin! It doesn't help that she's essentially a Marth clone. This is frankly the first character on the roster that I've been disappointed with so far.

On the flipside, Robin has an amazing fighting style, and his Final Smash combo with Chrom is a sight to behold.

Proof of this email? Anyways I hope you know but a leak does not have to be 100% correct to be legit. Like Pokemon XY leaks they mixed up the typing of the Grass and Water starters final evolution, yet everything else they said was correct. Either way Gematsu is 9/12 still maybe even 10/12 either way he still is correct and you can't fight the fact he is correct.

The fact that Chrom appears in Robin's final smash leads me to believe that Lucina is just a Marth alt. It would make sense for him to preform Aether with her as they are father and daughter and also both get Aether as an ability in game. We didn't see her perform a Final Smash so I can't say for sure that Chrom won't have a part in her's, but given that every move we say is like Marth's I stand by her being a clone. Would have space on disk due to the changes being merely cosmetic and just require a few more sound bytes.

I'm sorry, although part of me is happy that FE fans were all winners, you guys got Robin, Lucina, AND Chrom, so you don't have to be at each others' throats anymore... But dang it I am so SICK of Fire Emblem.
Lucina looks like an exact clone of Marth. -_- I hope Chrom is her alt.costume.

At least I'm glad I was surprised. Even if I don't know how to feel about it.... But, seeing Captain Falcon back made the day for me. And Robin kinda did too, even though his moveset isn't anything amazing.
