This is the third time I've typed this >_<

BIG UPDATE! I've added small "game profile" packages to tia that can be installed to any user's profile. These packages contain customizable information about a pre-selected game (only 2 so far) and will show up on the bottom part of your profile. Games installed so far include:
  • Mario Strikers Charged: display your Friend Code and the team you use most often.
  • Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: put up your Friend Code, Trainer Name, and the six Pokemon you use. You'll get a custom trainer card right on your profile!
I'll be adding more games as I see fit in the future (suggestions welcome). I think this is a fun way to integrate more games into tia, especially "smaller" games that don't have a developed tournament scene that would otherwise use the archive.

Groovy.

EDIT: you can install & edit your games by going to the ME menu and selecting My Games.

Ok, I redid the main page (http://tia.nealpro.com/) to fully integrate the site index into the rest of the social networking stuff. That of course means that the old-style tournament and player pages are no longer accessible... I'll work on getting the rest of the information from the old site to the new (like round robin pool results). Groovy.

I am the best at Mario Strikers Charged.

But I haven't gone online yet to prove it.

O Caaaannadaaaaa

This page just gets better and better, neal! Stellar work, as usual.

And that said, I would love to post my upcoming tournament on here, however I will have a hard time getting inter-regional interest if it is advertised as taking place in "Calgary, Alabama, Canada." There is no option to choose Canadian provinces, or even an "outside U.S" choice.

Randall: yes, the international support isn't 100% yet. However, tia is smart enough to hide the state if you're outside the US (look at your profile: Calgary, Canada). So you won't see "Alabama" in the tourney location even though you technically had to select some kind of state when making the tourney :).

And yes, I'll fix that soon :).

Another update:

I've worked with The Game II to add a small amount of Get Your Tournament integration into tia. Any time Glenn writes an article about someone on tia, you'll see a message in the Recent Activity section of that user's profile (and in your Home if you're friends with the person). An example message is on my profile (as well as DSF's and HugS').

We'll be adding more features to closer integrate our sites in the future :).

The code on your Wii's message board area is your Wii code; it's used to send messages and for WiiConnect24 stuff. Your Mario Strikers Friend Code is the code Strikers gives you when you go to Wi-Fi mode. You give this code to other people so you can play them in Strikers ONLY.

For reference, your Wii code is 16 digits, and all game friend codes are 12 digits.

Everyone should check their Home pages because I've just sent out several hundred entrant tags for old tournaments. I wrote a new system that lets tournament directors tag players in tournaments; this means only one person has to fill out forms to add to your tournament history, and he does it using an automated tool for assistance. Much better than requiring EVERY player to tag himself!

To test the system I went through most of the tournaments in the archive tagging people who never found that tournament. So don't be surprised if you have a dozen entrant requests in your home... just check to make sure it's really you and hit Confirm!
