i go to college in boone, and there's one other dude who goes here who plays competitively. i think we are the closest.

I will always remain #1 on these rankings, whoever ratted out my 'kreator' account because I posted pics of girls in bikinis as 'Dorsey'(and got banned) assured this. Sorry bros, at least you can aspire for 2nd.. which is noteworthy.

What's going on NC smashers! Recently got back into smash after a 2 year hiatus when I met another smasher at the school I go to (UNCG). Been playing smash since 64 and played with my older brother and we were very aware of the competitive scene and did our best to learn all the advanced techniques and tricks for our mains but, I never personally went to any tournaments.

I know there is a decently sized NC smash scene and hope to hone my skills until I am tournament ready. I am not trying to walk into my first local tournament and win but, I would at least like to brush up on my tech skills until I can do more than sandbag for the local players. Was looking to find people in Greensboro and more specifically in UNCG. I know there is somewhat of a scene here at UNCG and would like to introduce myself and get involved in the community here. If you are interested in hanging out and sparring let me know.

Yesterday Chapel Hill eSports Club hosted its Fall Gamefest event and held a Melee tournament. And wow, for my very first tournament, it was one of the greatest weekend events I've ever experienced. I met a lot of other tourney newcomers and made friends I could play Melee with, not to mention I got to play some good ol' Smash 64 and a bit of Brawl. Pizza was good too, and I got a free slice for bringing my Gamecube set-up. Kudos to all of those managing the event, you all did a wonderful job.

The funny thing is, the last time I touched Melee was before when Brawl was released, and at the time I was far from being a competitive player (Could not even beat single player on Very Hard). But I decided at the last minute yesterday that I was going to sign-up for the tournament despite knowing for sure that I would lose, and honest to god I only played 40 minutes of Melee to understand the mechanics and translating what I learned from Smash 64 before entering in the tournament. I was shocked to find out that I won a match out of the entire thing, but obviously I was out pretty quickly. Afterwards though, I spent the day playing friendlies and won even more matches and made friends to play Smash with. I definitely made the right choice entering the tournament, and I have zero regrets doing so.

Also, thanks for that very quick match you kindly accepted Peepee. I will always remember that moment so I can see how much my Mario has progressed in future tourney events.
