3 years ago nasa fired a missile now tomorrow at 7:30am it will hit the moon i believe their doing this because they think the moon has water or just to get attention zam

The articles I've seen don't really say what the satellite was doing, but I get the impression that it had another purpose in space for a while, served that purpose, and is now going out with a bang, for Science! It's not a missile though. And it wouldn't take 3 years anyway. The Apollo missions made it in days, and they had people to worry about. Plus, they were 40 years ago.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking about when I first read this post. The Apollo took days so there's no way in hell a missile would take three years, especially with updated technology.

I don't really understand this. If we went by the "if it ain't broke, leave it alone" logic, then there would be no technological advancements ever. Personally, I think I'd rather side with scientific advancement.

I'll have to agree with you here. Plus, I'm sure NASA are being very careful with what they're doing. They wouldn't be reckless with something like the moon. I'm sure the impact won't be a significant enough force to actually cause any harm.

And besides, if they didn't find water, but instead found massive amounts of hydrogen, they can make water.

Sound doesn't travel in space, so an ultrasound would not work.
