Besides Super Smash Bros., Madden and Tecmo Bowl are always good.

But non-sports games? It's definitely any entry from the Metal Gear Solid series. Absolutely love it to death! Animal Crossing is great. Roller Coaster Tycoon (any) just feels so good to play, but you've got to be in a seriously creative mood for that.

So yeah. :D
