EDIT: I've been thinking about revisiting Pandora's Tower. It's very Zelda-like, arguably better than Skyward Sword in many respects. Nintendo needs to take notes from Pandora's Tower for Zelda U if they want to make a better Zelda than their last few attempts.

GTA: Vice City. The music and setting are just so perfect that I can play it for hours on end. I like all the GTA games, but Vice City is definitely my favorite.

Custer's Revenge for Atari. Ground breaking gameplay, great graphics, high replay-ability, historically accurate.

Fire Emblem Awakening
Gameplay is fun, story is decent, and the characters and character interaction (mainly support conversations) were extremely good.

This. And basically any other game by Intelligent Systems. To name a few others...Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Fire Emblem Sacred Stones (or any FE game for that matter), and the Advance Wars,

I have lots of these, but I'll just name one for now.

F-Zero X.

Sublime game. Great soundtrack, tight controls, cool art-style.

i love f zero x man did you like f zero gx as well.
Yep! I've played and liked every F-Zero.

I like GX a lot, but I think it does some things that abandon the look, feel, and mood that made X so good. GX probably has the best gameplay, but I hope the next F-Zero borrows some of the visual themes from the original and combines them with the amazing speed and gameplay of GX to make the perfect F-Zero game.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've completed this game 88 times all the way through, with 27 100% completions out of them. It's one of my all time favourite games. I love Wind Waker with all my heart. It was one of my first Zelda games, and it just so happens to be my favourite.

Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love Metal Gear a lot. It's such a great series, but MGS3 is easily one of the best. I've beaten it six times and the only reason I'm not playing it right now is because I'm busy with other games.

The crouch walking introduced in the 3DS version made that game way more accessible, IMO. Generally, it's just an impressive game to have squeezed onto the 3DS, even if it has some frame rate drops.

Now that you mention it, I completely forgot to mention Super Mario Strikers. Such a great game. And Mario Party 5.

Oh yea I wanted to also give a shoutout to Super Mario RPG (SNES)

That game just has an amazing feeling to it. I remember the music and the art direction so vividly, and the active turn based battle system was so engaging.

Team Fortress 2 is the one game that I could just play for hours on end and never care. It's the most amazing game ever.

Ocarina of Time!
I've been playing it since I was little, and have beaten it thousands of times. It still holds the same magic it did the very first time I switched on the 64. I've challenged myself with silly restrictions, and speed ran it before I even knew what speed running really was. I learned certain glitches and secrets, unlocked every item, spoken to every npc, completed every side quest etc. I mean don't get me wrong I enjoy Majora's Mask as well, but nothing will ever compare (at least in my opinion). Probably just nostalgia goggles though

Almost every ageless Nintendo game I would list has been already posted.

From a mechanical and replay value standpoint, I highly recommend Spelunky (HD) and The Binding of Isaac (Rebirth). The main defining feature for both is every level layout is randomly-generated. There are also tons of items, bonus objectives, and paths you can take that freshen up every run (or you default to after all your failed attempts at clearing the game. Seriously, these are white-knuckle hard!) Spelunky being a roguelike makes it the harder of the two.

The original N64 version of Super Smash Bros. never gets old. This isn't just nostalgia talking either because I really didn't get in to the game until around 2008. It holds up very well and is still a blast to play with friends given the fact that it rewards offensive gameplay more than Brawl and Sm4sh. Matter of fact, I like SSB64 so much that I'm looking forward to watching it played competitively at APEX 2015.
That's the genius of Sakurai and his crew. Every single Smash game can be played at anytime, and they're very accessible to just about anyone!
