Hello folks. LashD here.
First and foremost i just wanna say thank you Nintendo. I know Nintendo is getting bashed around a bit more than usual these days, but i really want to give a thank you to Nintendo for all my childhood memories.
This nostalgia wave came to me the other day when i bought some of the games i used to play off the virtual console. A few being Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Pokemon Snap. I also was able to buy some old titles i missed out on such as Megaman 2(loved it!!!!), and Super Metroid. I sat down, played them, and it really made me feel like i was a kid again. I was completely hooked on these games AGAIN. I knew what the ending was in virtually all of them, the moves, the levels, and yet i still was taken aback by all of these past gemstones.
One of the VC games i got was Super Mario Bros.
Good ol' Super Mario Bros. I hadn't played it in awhile so i took to it. I found it alot harder than i remember. Nevertheless, i was having a great time playing it.
HOWEVER (dun dun DUUUUNNN)
When i was playing it i realized something... I never beat Super Mario Bros. The fact hit me like a brick. I started over and tried to get to the end....alas, i couldn't even get to World 7. The rest of the day i felt depressed, disgraced. How can i be a true Nintendo boy, spending half my life as a social outcast, playing games hours on end everyday, sticking with Nintendo consoles only, worshiping Mario and Zelda in every way when i can't even Save the Freaking Princess? The whole night this thought kept ringing in my ears like a banshee, haunting me.
So, after not much thought, i have decided to make this my goal in life. To save Princess Peach, still waiting in Castle 8 for me. I will complete it, i know i will. If it doesn't happen this year i'll make it my 2011 New Years Resolution.
I'M A COMING PRINCESS!!!
p.s. is the original Super Mario Bros. supposed to have continues? Cuz whenever i get a game over i start back @ World 1, but i swear i remember it having a continue option.

then again to be fair i played it almost every day on the original NES when i lived wif my grandma for the first year i lived in america 
nintendo has gone to crap quuite a bit though
