I am a smasher from Puerto Rico and I am a active smasher on the community since april 2008 ( my first brawl tourney). Its been already almost 2 years about the game release and I have gone to almost or every tourney in the island of PR, played great matches against great players here in PR.

I been practicing a lot to one day travel to USA and play EVERYONE I could play over there in a big national lvl tourneys sized like : Genesis, Apex , Pound, etc. But my economic situation fails, By now I am trying to get the money to MLG Orlando since that would be killing two birds with one stone since I never have seen Disney before "in person". The situation right now is failing since the day to buy the airplane ticket is getting near and the registration day too and if I have like 60 bucks is much and I been saving money.

I study at college, I am at 3rd year and a half and I am studying computer system sciences and then I will try to get a masters in communications and "redes" ( I don't know how to say that in english) then I will get extensive class on programming things like C+ and things like that, so that I could apply to work in Google. Even though that's one of my biggest dream ever, getting that work over there, but I also have this "need" to know that big competition over there in USA.

I wrote this in the need of getting this out of my chest since I am getting "tired" of playing the same people in Puerto Rico( even though I love playing against them since I have learn a lot from most of them) and just one time would be enough to say to myself " finally I did ".

I know how you feel, there's no action where I live.

On a different note, have you met Kewkky before? He's a P.R. Kirby, so I figure if you actively attend tournaments you may have run into him.
yes kewkky is one of my best friends. we actually in the same town and used to study in the same college. We practice together all the time.

I know the feeling, but my smash issolation is self imposed. Last times I've played brawl off wifi was with my bro and sis who get tired of me beating them (And, frankly, I'm a novice at best) and some friends who didn't even have a character unlocked (curse you Nintendo and all your locked ness ilk).

Good luck trying to gather the money to take the trip out!
