My Claus in Action - Feedback requested

These are some videos of my Claus from a recent Sydney tournament.

The tournament was based on a 'tier system' whereby there were 3 separate tournaments for high tier (all chars), mid tier (all chars bar high) and low tier based on the current Australian tier list, which is still young and differs greatly to the SBR tier list in a number of areas.

Anyways, these were the finals of the mid and low tier tournaments where I used Lucas, I'd appreciate any feedback (unrelated to missed thunderslides, zap jumps and u smash spam - so hard to resist sometimes ). The low tier finals are probably the best representation of my Lucas.

just because you jump doesnt mean you should nair.......

be calm, make sure you know what your doing, he could have shield grabbed the hell outta you.

you throw out ALOT of random smash attacks.
so you might want to cut down on those.
other than that it is a pretty good lucas.
the failed Zap jump made me lol
oh and you approach with Fair too often and could easily get shieldgrabbed

Against Diddy I tend to throw in a lot of random f smashes and nairs hoping to either reflect or catch bananas, but otherwise you're right. Often I d smash anticipating a roll, but its a good point - need to be more selective with smashes.

Stop SH Fairing. The only way that move works without being stupidly easy to punish is if the opponent is still in the air or you space it so that you're pulling back the entire time and even then it's risky. There are much better options.

Excellent Lucas. Your smash usage was perfect, fairly safe, and often hit. You mixed it up better than Tom Cruise in Cocktail. Improvement from here is a matter of working on your edgeguarding and finding creative ways to improve your matchups.

If there's one thing that concerns me is that you were almost always trying to pick up bananas from Diddy, however, good Diddy mains in the US anticipate this and go for dash attacks as you try to pick them up. Something to be aware of, but it's not a major strategy element.

It was my understanding that N-air with correct spacing/crossing up was safe on block?

Something useful to know when fighting Diddys is that you can hold onto a banana while doing an aerial by pressing neutral Z before you attack, and hold A + cstick to do an fsmash. Stops the bananas from dissapearing after they come into your control.

that would work if the diddy used bananas XD i thnk i saw one banana out of all those fights, and the diddy grabbed it and threw it off the stage XD
