In the jawn, with the jawn.
Dtilt = Zori's property.
Everyone else that uses is (including moi) is just borrowingg it.

^ *sigh* I wish i had brawl to test these things out. IDK Olimar isn't known for having great priority.

ZOMG breaking news Dtilt > jigs roll out at full power!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is all.
Jigglypuff's rollout has almost no priority. I usually fsmash it. Its a little safer with the disjointed hitbox. I believe Jigg's rollout will also stop if a thrown pikmin is on the ground in it's path. Not 100% sure on this though.

I find its best if used as a taunt after winning a match, especially if you get off the couch and do it yourself. Seriously try it with friends, it will truly piss them off. As an added bonus, make the olimar sex/squeak noise as you worm across the floor.

P.S. Actually zori's video is pretty much the perfect example of when and how to use it. And w00t first post, no more lurking.

Welcome to the boards! And a fantastic first post, I'm probably gonna do that now XD

I wonder if Dtilt has more priority than we think. Usually if I'm gonna outprioritize somebody approaching from the air ill just use Utilt, but Dtilt has some combo potential, I usually will do a Nair. Now that I think of it, one could probably do Dtilt-Nair combos. ramble ramble

omg zori you are teh ****e.
it's soo funny because he claims we hiwll never lose to an Olimar.
Then you 3 stock him(in tourney i hope, even better if it was recorded)
and Fearless beat him in a 5$ money match.
I think its about time he take his claim down.

I use Dtilt as a combo starter, to go through pit arrows and as a taunt=).

I use the Dtilt just for a combo set up. Or to annoy people with it

Dtilt,Dtilt,Dtilt,up smash,up air or up B

Uptilt will beat out Wario and fox's dair, but not jigg's or kirby's. ???

I don't use it too much. It's too character specific. Sometimes I'll use it instead of upsmash near low percents, but otherwise, I'll use any of my good spacing options.

Down Tilt, Down Tilt, Down Tilt, Up Tilt, Up Tilt, Up Air, Up B; it works on characters of Capitan Falcon's weight class and above for about 75%, it can be used right out of a shield and is hard to DI out of or avoid. This is my favorite combo Olimar has in his puddle of depth.

utilt is definitly a move I dont use much. Can sometimes get a dtilt to utilt combo on heavies at low %s, but thats about it. Otherwise Ill spam it as a ledgegaurd move occasionally because people arent very used to seeing this move and generally wont know how to react.

I didnt realize this out-prioritized wario's dair, sexy. It seems you'll mostly want to use usmash or uair for outprioritizing air moves, but for a wario dair spammer that could be very useful.

I don't use uptilt that much :/ only real 'combo' it has is a broken nair to uptilt.

Never use it, I try to, but I really dont find it that useful, I'd rather upsmash or uair

Utilt is more useful at lower percents for damage racking though because it keeps usmash decay lower...
I often just sh nair instead though.

Anytime you can utilt, theres almost always better options. I rarely ever use this move.
This is not true because all of Olimar's other attacks, for the most part, have enough knockback to send opponents away and prevent further hits. UpTilt on the other hand doesn't send them too far and can actually be chained to itself then Up Air before it becomes too difficult to attack with something else.

also, a lot of dair's go through up smash
but utilt can stop them and lead into juggles

excellent against fox, it also stops a lot of other moves due to it's good priority (wolf fsmash anyone?)
and, because he hops when he does it, he can actually avoid some low attacks such as some dsmashes and even some projectiles

Utilt is **** against wario because it takes away his primary approach, same with fox. I've also found that I can bait people into a Utilt if I run under them and do Usmash a handful of times. then I'll use Utilt, and they will probably air dodge, and I can keep them in the air. It's also a good move to use if locked in a "sidestep battle", where olimar and his opponent are very close together, trading sidesteps/attacks.

I'm sure there are a lot of attacks Utilt cancels, this attack definitely has more of a use than the average oli user gives it credit for imo.

Olimar's U-Smash can be out-prioritised by many D-Airs e.g. Fox

Utilt clanks with Tornado too. Just keep spamming it and you won't get hit xD At least, that happened to me once.

I don't use it a lot, but it's good to have. I use it to follow up broken nairs sometimes, but only at low %s. It's good OoS as well, but your opponent needs to be pretty close :/

I believe that is an uair with a yellow luvs2pluck. Yellow doesn't change usmash priority with respect to the dairs, like gw and fox.

Utilt is a good move to catch your opponent by suprise. I like using it under platforms if I want to save my usmash. As already mentioned, it has dodging capabilities.

I use utilt a lot, although it seems fairly situational. I mostly use it like I use nair: to beat an airdodge. It has great priority and combos well--particualrly with a falling nair or WAC. It catches rollers well too because of the longer hitframes.

I love this move

Utilt works pretty well from below platforms, besides that it's pretty much meh. I must admit that I very rarely use it.

I usually use Utilt to combo at low percents. Up tilt to upsmash or up tilt to nair.

^ agreed, it catches people off guard often, when they expect a single hit fair or something, and you just need to make sure the last hit doesnt it, and unless theyre very good at di, the utilt should be able to link into it, or maybe usmash instead at higher %

I've found useful to do the nair --> uptilt thing...but yet...I haven't found a very interesting and non-predictable way to use this move...I use it now and then when chars want to approach from above...the move have a lot of priority...but...any help of using this move more effectively?? thanks...
