Which moves of each character you wouldn't use in tourney?

For starters:

Roy's down air
Mario's down tilt
DK's down b
Sheik's down b

Discuss.

Also, let it be known that Falcon's neutral b should be used ALL the time.

Ganon's Utilt
Ganon's NeutralB
Kirby's DownB
Sheik's DownB
Kirby's Usmash
Kirby's grounded SideB
Kirby's Nair

Ganon nair
That move is actually pretty good, so it should be used in tournament. You don't often have opportunities to use it, but when you do, it's really good.

most of the moves mentioned here are pretty good. dk down b? ganon nair? roys dair? are you insane? that's one of his best moves for setting up **** lol

off the top of my head, the one move that comes to mind is samus upsmash. i would honestly prefer that she didn't even have an upsmash just to make sure that i don't accidentally use it and get punished for it. it's so bad.

@raph, kirby upsmash is good for jab reset combos. sounds like you don't use kirby enough.

I haven't tried using Usmash for that. It's a good idea, though.

And I was thinking of it as a KO move when I said that. Unless you get the sweetspot, which is insanely small, it's not going to KO.

Also, because I forgot to mention it:
DK Aerial DownB

Yeah, those throws are both pretty good once they can't break out of them. Even if you aren't suiciding with them, the throws are still pretty good.

Plus, Kirby can CG people with his Bthrow if they break out at the right time.

In the Air, Using Up b as an offensive move
did someone forget kirbys back/forward throw?
Kirby's Bthrow is amazing. Unless you're opponent is at 0% even if they break out the animation usually puts you at a frame advantage on them. And if they dont break out it's just a generally ok throw.

On topic: Ness' Down Smash. Or just Ness in general I guess.

Jigglys Sing. Peach's side-b besides Wall climbing.

Fox/Falco fair
Jiggs Rollout
Sheik chain
Falcon Kick anywhere besides recovery
Ganon nair

/thread
All of those are usable. Ganon's nair is good besides the 1.0 version of Melee where the hitbox was messed up. I need to find video of this tourny match with Chain to grab done on like Darkrain.

Well I just read this really neat guide on falco (you should all read it, it's called "Character Review: Falco" over on the falco boards) and the guide says that falco has this really risky move where he can fly off to the side really fast and idk if i want to do that bc what if i go off the edge and cant get back?? i dont think that move would be very good to use in tournament

Why are people saying that Fox and Falco's forward air is useless?

Just watch Dr. PP at Zenith against Hbox and M2k and you'll see that it does have some niche but useful applications.

Here's just one example

I have no idea why anyone would say Ganon neutral air.

Also, when is down-throw useful for space animals? Just curious.

What?! I don't play Fox, but Falco's fair is awesome. It has range when nair just doesnt reach, and it can combo at high %.

I'd like to say I never use Luigi's down-angled ftilt, but it might be useful in teams.
But even though I've killed with his dashattack, I still hate that move.

Marths upsmash unless somehow I can hit w/ a charged tipper (lol)
Marths side b after the first swing

Imo every move of fox falco puff have their places in tournament play. Possibly falcon too.

The only reason to ever use fthrow or bthrow is to style on scrubs. It is too easy to break out of if they're even remotely paying attention.
Pretty much every other kirby move has a valid, if niche, use.

Zelda is probably the worst offender in the crappy move arena, almost all of her moves are completely useless by comparison to fair/bair.

What boat mode? Three swings of Marth's side-b is awesome. Never go to four though. But side side side knocks them farther than a non tipped fsmash and can be used nicely out of dash, or side side down-> tech-chase is fun.

I've gotten enough hilarious weak u-air to tipped usmash or u-throw to tipped usmash kills that I can't say I wouldn't use that either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6iU6WiSaNc&t=3m22s u-smash 2 gud

I thought this thread was just moves you wouldn't use. As in moves that I as a player wouldn't use. I understand there is some value to anything, **** Jiggs' Rollout is good for killing Nana in some ******** situations against ICs. I've even seen Sheik chain used for comboing before.

The moves I listed are just moves I don't use lol.
