Most Ridiculous Post You Made During Brawl Speculation

I suspect many of us were around during in the days were there was much speculation about Brawl. Furthermore we are all flawed beings. This can combine for some hilarious results, particularly with hind sight. Thus my question for you is simple, what was your most ridiculous post from those days. If you have a better example from back in the old days of Melee speculation feel free to whip that out too. If you didn't post anything, then thoughts will do. If you didn't have any thoughts... well then sorry I can't help you, mostly because you are probably dead.

I'll go first. Mine wasn't on this site in particularly but I did make upwards of three post on some other smash forum site that I can't remember the name of. Memory serves you start out as a cappy and can't post until you've viewed so many threads or some such. I don't really remember. Regardless, before the announcement of Sonic, I was so desperate for Sonic in the game, that an utterly terrible idea struck me.

If they for some reason couldn't get the rights to Sonic, as they seemed to be struggling with that at the time, maybe Nintendo could cheat the system. After all Jiggs did have a rolling attack. How much modification would it really take to make that Sonic-esque? That's right. I made a post suggesting they basically make Jiggs sonic, only to dress it all up as Jiggs like stuff (legal reasons), so we could have Sonic. Good times.

During Brawl speculation I wasn't aware of Smashboards' existence, most of my speculation I did it on YouTube and I remember being really worried about Lugi's inclusion

My secret shame is wanting just about every third party character under the sun to be put in during Brawl's production.

I remember posting some silly speculative things back in the blog when that was a thing, but I can't say I recall anything in particular. Though now that I think of it, I had a thread about the probable chances of characters appearing in brawl. It used 'science' to determine what characters would make it in the roster. looking back, it was certainly a derpy idea. Lot of fun though.

I think I was posting on that same website during the Brawl hype, according to your description. Some Nintendo official forum I believe. I think it got closed down because someone was posting pornographic Peach drawings.

I wanted FD link to be Link's final smash. That dream didn't last long though, as it wasn't that much later we found out what Link's real final smash was.

Yeah man, when we heard about Link's ability to charge up his spin attack... my reaction was "Meh, I don't know how much that will help, but at least they're finally giving Link the attention he deserves."

Definitely believing Ness was gone with the whole "up until now" thing on the Dojo.

So did I. I had an argument or two with friends over this. I was confident that no translator would dare use the phrase until now, unless they were positive that was what Sakurai meant. Especially since Lucas seemed to be a lot like Ness. Just goes to show ya how much confidence actually means in the end.

I didn't go that crazy with it, but I was sure that there would be at least 3. I still hadn't decided of Geno counted as that third though because man is IP ownership complicated when it comes to video games.
