I am doing some research and wish to ask a large community what they think are the apps and games they have the most fun playing. I found out the opinion of various game critics bit now I'd like to know what you think. As well as games please state your favourite apps. This information will be very useful to me an may encourage others to downloading games and apps recommended by a community of casual iPhone/itouch users. Your fave app and games don't have to be free. Quite frankly I don't care about how much it costs so long as it's a useful or fun app 0-).

I am ADDICTED to Doodle Jump. It's so simple yet addictive. It gets pretty hard after 30,000.

Also, Fantastic Contraption was pretty cool.

I'm mainly a free junky, so I have only bought 3 apps (2 game/1 IM client).

I don't use a lot of the motion based ones, so the ones i play the most are Fieldrunners (a tower defense), TapDefense, zombie, PocketGod is fun to mess with, and various puzzle games I might find interesting and might keep or delete.

Also, if you are a fan of the FML site, there is an app for that, and it's great.

LOL. I was JUST about to make this thread.

Yeah, i only have free apps. The only app i'll probably buy is monkey ball and tetris. Maybe. :[

A few of my favorite *free* apps atm include TapDefence, the Facebook app, cube runner, Sudoku, Zentomino, Tap Tap and Fastlane lite.

I just got one quite recently actually. I like how it has smoother and nicer graphics than a DS. lol

I'm feeling pretty hypocritical because for the longest time, I always scoffed at it.

But seriously, there's so much space, you can browse the internet while listening to music (which is something you couldn't do on the psp), and it has a million features. I've only had it for a few days and i'm in love.

Well In my opinion the Ipod touch certainly dwarfs the psp. I often feel the psp is dead now though it was once a revolutionary machine

Right here, not quite now
You've got to try out "Crazy Machines" if you're into inventions and stuff.

If you like Tower Defence games, i recommend Field Runners, 7 Cities and The Creeps.

I don't have an iPhone, but my friend was showing me his, and the Zippo lighter app is far more fun than it should be. I mean, it's just a lighter, but it has fire, so it's fun, I guess.

I just bought a game called Flood-It last night at about 8:00pm when I was about to go to bed and became completely addicted to it. The thing I like about it is that it's simple yet challenging at the same time.

lol I wouldn't think it annoys people. I quite like the Shotgun app cos it's pretty cool how you can unload, reload and fire using the accelerometer effectively
IMAGINARY RECOIL!

iShoot is a really fun one. You can get the Lite version free and I'm really not entirely sure how it's dumbed-down as it's pretty expansive. You have a tank, and can buy a myriad of weapons from a Mortar to a Tactical Nuke using money you earn. You then can customize your color, how many CPUs you face, and you battle them until the last man is standing.

The Lightsaber app is pretty good as well, and free once again. You can change the color of your Lightsaber, and swing the iPod Touch/iPhone around and make noise.

Another one is Bike or Die. It's a very Time Trial-y game, but it's fun even if you're not really into just getting the best times. You can get a Lite version, which has 6 levels. Pretty fun game.

And yes, I'm a free junkie. I have yet to pay for a single app on my Touch and I'm up to a full row on my fourth page.

Blue Defense is hard to explain.. get the free lite version.

Jelly Car is like Bike or Die, except a lot more levels and the full version is free...

Topple and Topple 2 are amazing. I could play those games all day. That new bow and arrow game is good two. And iShoot is really fun to play espicially the payed version since you can make your own weapons and multiplayer is awsome.

I'm gonna buy Assassin's Creed sometime this week, I'll tell you how it is. Yes they have an iPhone version for it. Hells yeah.
