**** i fail for not looking at this thread often enough anymore. yeah i work 10-6:30 almost permanently monday tuesday and *mostly* every other friday. so even if it were a day i worked we could prolly all meet up when i get off or sommat. Ahhh, in case you didn't know Envy we pretty much only play melee. Chok and Suuwo might be down for brawl though
btw this might be the greatest post i've ever seen

I technically own 2 copies of brawl. I let someone borrow the first one and I never bothered to ask for it back because I had no interest in playing it again anyway lol. I bought the 2nd one because it was cheap and I wanted to try out Project M (a decision I don't regret). Brawl just isn't my game though. I can't get past how slow it is.

To me it came down to one simple fact. After a couple of matches I was just bored.Every Time I play it I get bored. On the other hand,I can play melee all day long and not be bored at all

I remember the brawl tournaments at Jamie's house where you'd ask every person you had to play in tournament if they'd be willing to play melee instead of brawl. If I had to enter a brawl tournament now I would totally do that too lol

playing guys who are actually good at brawl is kinda fun
because to get good you kinda have to force yourself to work past the stupid stuff in the game, and then it gets pretty deep
but then at top level it gets stupid again, which is annoying.
so brawl is like this
low level - lame
mid/high level - fun
top level - lame
melee:
low level - fun
mid/high level - fun
top level - incredible

bowser/groudon/blastoise/nidoking ****
because to get good you kinda have to force yourself to work past the stupid stuff in the game, and then it gets pretty deep

haha i love modesto smashers.
the only brawl tournaments i entered, i either went random or asked them to play melee instead.
team tournaments were fun but only because they were goofy.
also because i have a lazy teams mindset. let him run into my dumb stuff.
that goes further in teams than it ever did in singles.
