Don't tournaments usually run on players loaning their consoles? What part of the setups is expensive?

Gamerheadz has like 3 or 4 melee/P:M wiis of their own which makes melee/P:M easy to run. I don't know how many, if any, wii u set-ups they have, but they would most likely have to rely on the players.Don't tournaments usually run on players loaning their consoles? Oh, Kordell told me it was just for that week.Wednesday friendlies don't happen anymore. Tournaments start at 6 PM on Thursdays to accommodate peoples' work schedules. Technically in Edina, not Bloomington.
I know no news of Smash 4, but the biggest issue with that is how expensive set-ups are. Someone would have to talk to Kordell about this.

Yo, I'm from Minnetonka. I mostly play PM and Melee. Are you part of the Minnesota facebook group? Triple R does a good job of keeping the tournament listing at the top updated, there's usually a couple things per week.Hi, I have played Smash Bros games for 8 years, but just recently started trying to get better for competitive. I live in Minnetonka, MN, and I want to get started in tournaments, but there are never any near by. Help! I play little melee, and lot Sm4sh Wii u.

We have tournaments happening in Fargo ND (right on the boarder) at the below dates:

Venue: West Acres Mall Community Room - located in the basement next to Big Nick's Card Shop, stairs leading to the basements are near gamestop/fountain.
Venue Fee: $5
Tournament Fee: $5 - 100% cash payout to top 3 spots
We have Smash 4, PM 3.5, and Melee.
Doors open at 11am
PM 12pm
Melee/Smash 4 2pm
If you bring a set up and let us know ahead of time on facebook or through email you get $3 off your venue fee, if you just show up the day of without letting us know its $1 off.
