Of course we think this role is townie. Giving scum what essentially amounts to a second killing ability would be a ridiculous setup in a game with only 7 players. They'd basically have an instant win ability as soon as the game got down to 3 players. Even putting in a town role to counter it would simply make the game super swingy in the endgame.
Creating two town roles that do the same thing, however, makes perfect sense. Based the role PM, neither player really knows from the start what their ability does. Someone's bound to experiment with it day 1, revealing how the ability works to the entire town. Then the player with the opposing power can choose to either counteract the hated status or let the hates stack and keep their ability as a trump card for later. They could still lose the game for town by using it improperly, but at the start of the game, there's a check in place to keep swing to a minimum.
Vote: Rake
This slot has been stinky from the very start of the game, and Rake continues to flail in classic scum-Rake fashion. The only reason not to completely rush the lynch now is because I'm hoping Lunchables will give us some actual content to work for the final 3 toMorrow.
