I said "hypothetically" because someone else misunderstood me, thinking that I was on about copy abilities. However, I both began and ended that post saying, quite emphatically, that that wasn't at all what I was saying, and I only though of absorption/expulsion as a viable mechanic.

Lastly (firstly, if this response wasn't dyslexic), being "confused" and being "****ing mental" aren't mutually exclusive.

So, I've noticed that some people have been starting to jump ship on waiting on updates and are simply waiting for the game without spoilers. With this in mind, what are all you guys going to do? Continue to keep up with updates, or avoid spoilers after awhile?

Keep up, definitely. My purchase of the game hinges on my interest in it, and I can only gauge that interest by continuing to follow its new information.

I do think that it's silly to complain about getting too much information beforehand, because regardless of whether you experience a new character reveal online or in the game, you still experience joy (or disgust). If you experience the reveal online first, however, you can base your purchase on that, knowing what you're about to get and that it'll be great, rather than going in blind and hoping for the best, which may not actually happen. It's a bit silly to try to avoid spoilers for Smash for me. First off like AA said there's no story to spoil and competitively speaking anything helps. If cool things are held back by Sakurai and then revealed by random internet dudes I'll feel dirty but what can you do? I'd be ever more hyped actually.
