So, I;m trying to calm myself down because I'm torturing myself for highly possible disappointment.

I can't give any prediction on will be on the pic because I'm hype for straws now. (most likely but even then, I shouldn't do that).

EDIT and it just released lol.

I wonder what they're both thinking. At least for Little Mac, I can imagine him saying:

Little Mac: "I traded my Assist Trophy position in Brawl for this?!"

Pic of the day. Here's a Screen K.O. shot. There are also patterns where players will disappear into the sky for Star K.O.s, but as a match's time limit approaches, those K.O.s will not occur anymore.

EDIT What time matches has to do with this?

Funny caption incoming, and I'm gonna be satisfied with it. (slow I am)
As much as I don't want to see Pit getting hurt much, I do wanna see what Pit looks like when that happens to him in a potential 2nd pic.

Ohh, so more than one person can hit the screen at a time, eh? Neat.
EDIT: Ahh, and no more star K.O.s as time gets close, eh? Neat kinda competitive feature!

The least he could've done is given us a picture of that animation for characters that weren't in the demo.
Everyone just looks so silly when they splat on the screen. Especially the characters that are usually rather stoic.

Edit:
Wait!
Not filler!

New info on KO mechanics. Officially not filler. :p

So Star K.O.'s won't happen as the timer gets closer to 0.

EDIT: Oh hey, Mac's bandage.

Digging that Star KO change. No more losing a match by half a second. Good update

Heh, this pic made me laugh, so it's satisfactory filler to me.

Okay, this is actually a really good mechanics update showing the EXTREME thoughtfulness going into this game. In Melee and Brawl, screen slam vs star KO is random when you kill up. Star KO has a longer animation, but the KO isn't registerred until either animation finishes. That means if you kill off the top very close to the time over, it can come down to RNG whether the kill counts before the game ends. I've actually lost a tournament match to that, getting a star KO at the last second when a screen slam would have been fast enough to win me the game. This change is that, if time over is close, you'll always screen slam off vertical KOs which is the faster animation and guarantees RNG won't play a factor in your wins in those down to the wire matches.

So yeah, it seems small, but seriously, this is one of those little changes that really does just help the game out. Good update.

Ah-ha!
So star KOs stop happening when time gets short, presumably so there are no luck-based wins, assuming both players get knocked into the sky at the same time.

Awesome, so in competitive matches we get to watch this hilarious occurrence when the timer starts to run out especially with characters like Fox. I'm not even gonna consider this filler, this information is amusing xD

Ohhh Sakurai thank you so much! This is a great change - it's so frustrsting when the timer counts down and your K.O doesn't count. Very clever change.

Also, these look sweet.

That's a great update as it mostly removes the luck factor in lategame KOs, I'm glad that they did that.

It's funny, when Lucario first shown up, there was a good number of people complaining how he got too many PotDs to himself, now, he's been missing from them for over 5 months.

I guess Sakurai really took it to heart, didn't he?

Similarly, it's interesting how both him and Charizard are the only ones missing from the PotDs and also the demo, I'm curious what's going on with them.
